The degree of coffee beans’ selection refers to the depth of color after roasting, which has an important influence on the taste and flavor of coffee. According to the degree of selection, it can be divided into three levels: normal, medium and heavy. Medium roasted coffee beans are generally lighter in color, usually light yellow or light brown. Coffee beans at this temperature are more sour and have a distinct fruity taste. Since the internal moisture is not completely evaporated due to short-term high-temperature roasting, this type of coffee beans is prone to bursting during the production process. Medium roasted coffee beans are suitable for people who like fresh, bright taste and fruity flavor. Medium-selected coffee beans are between normal and heavy, and are dark brown or chocolate brown in color. Coffee produced at this level has a more balanced and mellow taste, and also brings a richer and more complex flavor experience. Medium-selected coffee beans are roasted to a moderate degree, not too sour or bitter, and can meet the taste requirements of most people. Heavy Select Medium means that the color of the roasted coffee beans is darker, usually dark brown or even black. The coffee produced under this Select Medium has a strong and intense taste and flavor, with a distinct bitter and caramelized taste. Due to the long-term high-temperature roasting, the internal moisture evaporates and the surface oil begins to be released. Therefore, the coffee beans under Heavy Select Medium often require a longer extraction time during the production process to achieve the ideal effect. Heavy Select Medium is suitable for people who like a strong, bitter taste and dark roasted flavor. |
