A university in England invited 300 volunteers to participate in the study. They divided coffee lovers and non-coffee lovers into two groups and stopped drinking coffee 16 hours before the test to observe the changes in their concentration. After 16 hours of abstaining from coffee, only coffee lovers were allowed to drink coffee, while non-coffee lovers were not allowed to drink coffee. The results showed that the concentration of those who drank coffee was the same as that of non-coffee lovers, which was only at a normal level. Therefore, it can be inferred that even if non-coffee lovers drink coffee, it will not help improve their concentration or work efficiency.

The scholars in charge of the investigation said that the body's internal organs slow down the reaction of adenosine, and the reason why people feel refreshed after drinking coffee is that caffeine stops adenosine from entering cells, making it less likely for people to feel sleepy. The study also pointed out that caffeine can narrow blood vessels, speed up blood circulation, and cause headaches. Some coffee lovers will experience headaches, irritability, muscle tension, and nervousness if they don't drink coffee.

This is because there is a conductive substance called adenosine in the human body, which can control nerve activity, slow breathing, weaken emotions, reduce gastric acid secretion and have a diuretic effect. It is worth noting that this short-term wakefulness caused by caffeine does not mean that physical strength has really been restored. In addition, everyone has a different metabolic rate for caffeine, and their sensitivity to it is also different, so some people do not feel that their sleep is affected after drinking coffee. As for the relationship between caffeine intake and osteoporosis, it is still under study. There is no direct evidence that caffeine causes osteoporosis, but some studies have pointed out that caffeine increases calcium loss. Therefore, it is recommended that coffee lovers should eat more high-calcium foods to supplement calcium, such as preparing custard slices or custard cakes to enjoy with coffee, which can not only supplement calcium, but also make coffee more delicious.
