Summer iced Americano, the coffee made in these two steps is cool, slightly bitter, and refreshing, which is a blessing for summer

Summer is here, and fewer and fewer people are drinking hot coffee. Also, who wants to go into the steamer anytime and anywhere in the hot summer?

I always heard people say that coffee must be brewed with hot water at xx degrees Celsius and that drinking at xx degrees Celsius can bring out the best flavor of coffee. But is this still true in the hot summer?

On the contrary, iced coffee is becoming more and more popular nowadays, such as ice drip coffee, cold brew coffee, and iced coffee.

The process of making iced coffee is difficult and it is not recommended to make it at home. However, cold brew coffee and iced coffee can be made successfully at home easily.

Cold Brew Coffee

Choose a bag of coffee. Put the coffee bag in a sealed cup. If it is 10g of coffee powder, add 350ml of cold water. Then seal it well and put it in the refrigerator for 8 hours. If the sealing effect is better, you can choose to put it upside down for better extraction effect.

There is also a type of cold brew coffee called iced brew coffee, which means that the above steps can be directly changed to frozen ice cubes. The coffee made by ice brewing for 8 hours will be better than cold brew.

This extraction method is delicate and slow. The extracted coffee is cool and has low bitterness and acidity, but the bright fruity aroma of the coffee is still real.

Iced Coffee

Iced coffee is very easy to make. If you have a machine at home, you can just make a cup of freshly ground espresso and then pour it over ice cubes or ice water.

If you don’t have a machine, you can choose to use instant black coffee and make it in the same way, and the effect will be very good.

The combination of Italian coffee and water can make a very simple cup of American coffee. This kind of coffee looks rough, but in fact, it is easier for people to accept than the strong coffee flavor of Italian coffee. The coffee made in this way does not add any other ingredients. It seems light but still has its original flavor. Pour espresso into ice cubes instead of adding ice cubes directly to espresso. Be sure to pay attention to this point and don't make a mistake.

This approach can reduce the coffee

The bitterness and sourness make the coffee clearer, brighter, and extremely refreshing.

The coffee made by the above two extraction methods tastes closer to American coffee, and can be said to be iced American coffee. Have you learned how to make these two simple summer iced coffees?
