What are the differences between mocha, latte and cappuccino coffee commonly found in coffee shops?

Friends who often go to coffee shops will definitely find that almost every coffee shop has cappuccino, mocha, and latte on the menu! So what are the differences between them? How should a novice choose?

1. In terms of production, the blending ratios of the three types of coffee are different.

Latte, mocha and cappuccino all use espresso and milk. The biggest difference is the ratio.

The difference between latte and cappuccino

(1) To make latte, one part espresso is mixed with three parts hot milk, that is, the ratio of espresso to milk is 1:3. There will be a small amount of milk foam on the latte.

Latte

(2) Cappuccino. The production requirements of cappuccino are much higher than those of latte. The production of cappuccino requires the ratio of milk foam to espresso to be 1:1:1, so it is very important to make milk foam. Practice making milk foam well and making a cup of cappuccino will be much easier.

Cappuccino

(3) The ingredients of Mocha are more complicated than those of Cappuccino and Latte, including chocolate sauce, milk, fresh cream and espresso.

Mocha Coffee

2. In terms of taste, the differences between the three main tastes are quite obvious.

(1) Latte has a stronger milky taste, mainly reflecting the fusion of milk and coffee.

A variety of fancy coffee

(2) Cappuccino has a more delicate taste of milk foam. After blending with coffee, it has a complex taste of coffee, milk, and thick and sticky milk foam, with a better sense of layering.

(3) Mocha coffee has a more prominent layered texture due to the addition of fresh cream and chocolate. The combined taste of cream, chocolate and coffee enhances the richness of the whole cup of coffee! It is obviously different from other blended coffees both visually and in taste!
