How to filter coffee beans without filter paper?

Filtering coffee beans is a common operation, usually done with filter paper. However, if there is no filter paper, we can still filter the coffee beans through other coffee machine instructions. Here are three ways to filter coffee beans without using filter paper.

The first method is to use a sieve for filtering. First, prepare a sieve with moderate fineness and place it above a container. Next, pour the ground coffee beans into the sieve and gently shake the container so that the smaller particles fall to the bottom of the container. At this point, a layer of larger particles of coffee powder is formed above the sieve. Finally, slowly tilt the container and pour out this layer of larger particles.

The second method is to use cloth for filtering. Choose a clean, odorless and breathable cloth (such as cotton cloth), and fold it into a suitable size so that it can be placed on the mouth of a cup or pot as a temporary filter. Next, place the coffee pot or cup to be brewed on the cloth, and slowly pour in the ground coffee beans. The cloth will filter out larger particles and let the coffee liquid pass through. Finally, take out the coffee beans above the cloth.

The third method is to use the slow drip method for filtering. This method requires some special equipment, such as a slow drip pot or a hand brewing pot. First, place the coffee beans to be brewed at the bottom of the container and lightly soak them with water. Next, slowly tilt the container and wait for the water to flow out from the middle to form a small hole, and then slowly pour boiling water into the small hole in the center of the container. The boiling water will penetrate and pass through the coffee beans and collect at the bottom to form fresh coffee liquid.
