  • When beginners learn latte art patterns, they need to start from the simplest to the more complex: apple, heart, leaf, flower shape; don't think about mastering it in one go. Latte art is not only a visual enjoyment, but also about how to use cleverness to blend the milk foam with the coffee while also tasting different levels of taste. This is the real art of latte art.

The following are the steps for simple drawing:

  1. Brew a cup of espresso and pour it directly into the coffee cup.

  2. Make milk foam and pour it into a latte art pot with a wide bottom and pointed mouth.

  3. Pick up the latte art pot and slowly pour the milk foam into the espresso. The milk foam will gradually blend with the espresso.

  4. When the coffee cup is about 2/3 full, the espresso has roughly blended with the milk, and the surface of the coffee will become thick. This is also the time for "latte art".

  5. Start to make latte art by gently shaking the latte art cup left and right. Keep your hands steady at this time. Use the strength of your wrist to control the latte art cup, moving it back and forth 3-4 times horizontally. If the shaking method is correct, the milk foam marks will appear in a white "Z" shape.

  6. Slowly move the latte art cup backwards and gradually reduce the amplitude of shaking. When closing the cup, pull a thin straight line forward to serve as the edge of the leaf stem.

  7. Tips: If it’s hard to make latte art at first, you can use a toothpick and syrup to slightly modify it to make the art more elegant.
