Latte, mocha, cappuccino, Americano, can you tell the difference between these coffees?

Coffee has become an indispensable drink for people in modern society, especially for young people.

Many people are fascinated by it because of its convenience, deliciousness, refreshing function, and various different categories.

So, after drinking coffee for so many years, I believe everyone has tried many types. Do you know what the differences are between them?

Let’s talk about it briefly today.

Espresso

Also known as Italian coffee, it can be said to be a classic in almost every coffee shop, and is also the basis for other fancy coffees.

Generally speaking, a serving of espresso is a very small cup, about 30ml.

The taste is quite bitter, and there is a thick layer of coffee oil floating on the surface of the coffee.

Cappuccino

Espresso + milk + milk foam + latte art (partial)

Ceramic cappuccino cups are usually used, with a capacity of 240cc and a narrow mouth. The thickness of the milk foam in the cup will be more concentrated, making it more difficult to make latte art, and the thick milk foam is not easy to control.

At the same time, during the production process, it is inconvenient to operate due to the narrow cup mouth.

For those who like to drink milk foam, cappuccino is definitely the right choice.

(The current standard cappuccino ratio is: 30ml espresso + milk + more than 1cm of milk foam)

Caffè Latte

Espresso + milk + milk foam + latte art

Usually a special latte cup is used, with a capacity of more than 280cc.

Some Korean coffee shops use mugs, but most coffee art lovers prefer the Sawada cup. The PCA competition cup has a capacity of 300cc and a large mouth area, which can spread the milk foam well, allowing more room for latte art, and the texture formed is also very good.

(The ratio of milk to coffee is generally controlled at 1.5:1. Cappuccino and latte are both milk coffee, but due to the different ratios, the first sip of cappuccino is usually milk foam, while the first sip of latte is milk coffee.)

Café Mocha

Espresso + chocolate sauce + milk + milk foam + fresh cream

The chocolate sauce is added to give it a chocolate flavor. Because the cup is sealed with fresh cream, there is no need for latte art, but because of this, the cup shape used is more particular.

Americano

Coffee + Water

The reason why Americano is called Americano is because Americans are not used to drinking espresso, so they choose to dilute it with water, and later it evolved into Americano.

(The current standard ratio of water to coffee in American coffee is 2:1.)

Macchiato

Espresso + milk foam

The combination of strong coffee and delicate milk foam creates a unique taste.

The famous coffee chain Starbucks has a caramel macchiato, which is made by adding some caramel on top of the milk foam. It tastes good.

Espresso with Panna

Espresso + Whipped Cream

Spreading a layer of fresh cream on top of strong coffee is simple to make and many people love it.

However, it is rarely seen in most coffee shops and coffee chain stores in the country.

Coffee is one of the three major beverages in the world. After being introduced to China, it was quickly accepted and loved by the public and became an indispensable beverage in people’s daily life.

At the same time, since most cafes are very quiet, have elegant decoration styles, and protect everyone's privacy, cafes have become a good place for people to date and negotiate.

However, although coffee is good, you should not drink too much. Since coffee contains caffeine and other substances, if you drink coffee regularly, or even consume a large amount of coffee every day, you may become addicted to coffee. This is something everyone needs to understand.
