Coffee has more advantages or disadvantages, let's take a look at these views

Many friends are not very clear about some knowledge about drinking coffee. The knowledge they find online is not clear, and they often see their parents forwarding the circle of friends:

"Shocked, stop drinking coffee, it actually causes many diseases"

“It turns out that coffee is so harmful to the body”

A series of things have caused many of our friends to be even more confused. Today, I will objectively explain the advantages and disadvantages of coffee to you one by one.

First of all, some people say that coffee can cause cardiovascular disease.

They say that the caffeine in coffee can speed up the heart rate, enhance myocardial contraction, and increase blood pressure. Coffee also contains active substances such as diterpenoids, which may increase the cholesterol level in the blood.

After research, it was found that people who drink coffee for a long time are often office workers who are tired at work, often work overtime, sit in the office for a long time, have irregular work and rest schedules, have unhealthy and irregular diets, and are fond of smoking and drinking. Therefore, cardiovascular disease may not be blamed on drinking coffee.

After entering the new century, scientists conducted related research and found that normal coffee drinking not only does not increase the incidence of cardiovascular disease, but will reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Secondly, some people say that drinking too much coffee is particularly harmful to the stomach and increases the probability of gastrointestinal diseases.

Coffee and gastrointestinal diseases Coffee increases gastric acid secretion, relaxes the esophageal sphincter, aggravates acid reflux, and promotes small intestinal peristalsis. Therefore, some people believe that coffee increases the probability of gastric ulcers, and sometimes there is a saying that "drinking coffee on an empty stomach hurts the stomach."

However, in 2013, a study involving 8,013 healthy people to investigate whether coffee drinking is related to peptic ulcers found that the occurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcers has nothing to do with coffee drinking, but is mainly related to the presence or absence of Helicobacter pylori infection and smoking. In other words, to prevent the occurrence of ulcers, killing bacteria (Helicobacter pylori) and quitting smoking are effective, and coffee has nothing to do with it.

So here I want to remind you that smoking is harmful to your health! Smoking is fun for a while, but it doesn't always make you happy! You should take good care of your body and quit smoking.

But don't be happy too soon. Let's be objective. Although drinking coffee will not cause ulcers in healthy people, there is evidence that coffee may aggravate the ulcers or delay the healing of ulcers in patients who already have gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal surgery recovery period and other gastrointestinal diseases.

We have talked about cardiovascular and gastrointestinal diseases, so how can we not talk about cancer? After all, if a diet is not linked to cancer in the circle of friends, it must be a non-mainstream diet. The rumors about coffee inducing cancer are mainly focused on breast cancer. It is rumored that long-term coffee drinking will increase the risk of breast cancer.

However, whether it is the study on dietary habits and breast cancer incidence conducted by Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Capital Medical University in 2008, or the data statistics published in the authoritative journal "Breast Cancer" in 2015, which brought together 23 research centers in 10 major European coffee-consuming countries such as Germany, Britain, Switzerland, and Spain, with a total of more than 300,000 people, over a period of 20 years, both have proven that.

Whether coffee drinks contain caffeine or not has no direct relationship with breast cancer. For female friends, the question of whether they can drink coffee during breastfeeding may be more worthy of attention.

Many mothers who love drinking coffee are worried that if they drink coffee during breastfeeding, the caffeine will be passed to the baby through breast milk, so they try very hard to quit drinking coffee.

According to existing research, 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day (less than 300 mg/day) is safe for both mother and baby. Breast milk has its own protective barrier, and very little caffeine actually enters breast milk. Moreover, caffeine is more of an excitatory effect on babies, and it will be fine after it is metabolized.

So if a breastfeeding mother wants to drink coffee, she can choose to drink it between meals, or choose low-caffeine or decaffeinated coffee, which will have the least impact on the baby.

After all, breastfeeding a child is so hard. The above only says that coffee does not cause cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disease, or cancer as rumored.

Xiaoka refuted the rumor, and someone asked again if coffee really has no harm at all. That is of course impossible. Long-term drinking of coffee will still cause some negative effects on the body.

For example, long-term drinking of coffee will stain teeth. Coffee, tea, red wine, cola and other well-known coloring drinks all contain a substance called tannic acid, which is dark brown. If it acts on teeth for a long time, it will penetrate into the inside of the teeth and cause the teeth to turn yellow.

Drinking coffee may cause calcium loss.

There are three ingredients in coffee beans that are related to the loss or retention of calcium: potassium, oxalic acid, and caffeine. In theory, these ingredients will cause the body to lose calcium.

Instant coffee contains a lot of sugar. I think everyone knows that in order to cater to the public's taste, many instant coffees will add more saccharin and milk fat. In this case, the taste of the coffee will become completely different from the original coffee.

Some people who drink hand-ground coffee will also sneer at instant coffee. Instant coffee is high in calories and not only can it not help you lose weight, but it will make you fatter the more you drink it. Drinking coffee to lose weight is a theory that people have always supported, but this weight loss effect only exists in pure coffee that contains a relatively high caffeine content. Although those coffees taste bitter or unacceptable, they contain more caffeine.

But instant coffee is different, because it is a three-in-one instant coffee, it has high calories and high sugar content. So you can imagine that instant coffee is actually no different from those high-sugar, high-calorie foods. Drinking more is not only not conducive to weight loss, but will also make you fatter and fatter.

Finally, some friends must have asked, what is the correct posture for drinking coffee?

The upper limit of daily caffeine intake is 400mg, so drinking two cups of coffee a day is not a big problem.

You can add milk to coffee: because milk contains casein, it can reduce the penetration of tannic acid into the teeth, thus greatly weakening the staining effect of coffee on teeth. At the same time, adding milk to coffee can make up for the calcium loss caused by coffee with the calcium in milk.

People with gastrointestinal diseases, high blood pressure and caffeine sensitivity should not drink coffee: coffee will have some impact on the body, and people with related diseases will feel uncomfortable after drinking it, so it is better to quit.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should reduce their caffeine intake by half (200 mg).

·Teenagers should not

Do not drink while taking medicine

Don’t drink coffee that is too hot

In fact, as long as you master the correct posture for drinking coffee, it is very healthy. As long as you drink coffee in moderation and at the right time according to your body, there is nothing wrong with it.
