Generally speaking, there are several naming rules for coffee beans:

Named after a country:

Colombia: The famous Colombian Coffee Producers Federation (FNC).

Named after the region of origin:

Yirgacheffe: A small town under Sidamo, it was separated because of its unique flavor.

Named after a mountain range:

Blue Mountain: Jamaica

Kilimanjaro: Tanzania

Named after species:

Mandheling: such as Gayo Mandheling, Lintong Mandheling

Geisha: such as Panama Geisha, Columbia Geisha, Guatemala Geisha

Bourbon Amarello/Yellow Bourbon: Amarello (meaning yellow in Latin) Yellow Bourbon is a yellow-skinned Bourbon variety unique to the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Generally, coffee berries turn red when ripe, but Yellow Bourbon does not turn red when ripe, but is orange-yellow, hence the name.

Named after the port of export:

Mocha: a port in Yemen

Santos: a port in Brazil

Named after a distinctive flavor or special treatment:

90+ (Ninety Plus), an American coffee company, mostly names its coffees like this, such as Kita Gora of Sidamo, whose Italian style itself is berry flavor.

Sometimes, the countries are first distinguished, such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, etc., and then the production area and estate are introduced. Sometimes, in order to describe the coffee beans more accurately, the processing method, roasting degree and grade are also added.

Espresso

In Italian, "espresso" means fast and under pressure, and the production method of espresso itself is the rapid extraction of high temperature and high pressure. Therefore, its Chinese translation is also very simple and crudely named "espresso".

In many coffee shops, we often see "SOE", which stands for "single original espresso", which means espresso made from a single variety of coffee beans.

Cappuccino

"Cappuccino" originally referred to the cap on the cloak worn by the priests of the Catholic Cappuccino Church. Some people say that it is because the milk foam on this coffee looks like this cap, and some people say that it is because the color of the coffee at that time is similar to this cap. In short, this coffee got its name from this. The traditional cappuccino is composed of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, and 1/3 milk foam.

Latte

"Latte" means milk in Italian, so if you order a latte in Italy and it comes with milk, don't slam the table and curse. Because "coffee latte" is the real "coffee + milk". Similarly, the popular "matcha latte" and "black tea latte" are both caffeine-free drinks.

Mocha

The mocha mentioned here is a type of Italian coffee, not the Yemeni mocha in coffee beans. In Italian, "mocha" means chocolate. This coffee with chocolate also has a unique richness and sweetness.

Flat white

Compared with latte, flat white has less milk and the milk foam is "flatter", hence the name. This coffee was brought to New Zealand and Australia by Italians during World War II. After the locals' wisdom and wisdom, they improved and invented it, and today's Flat White is here.

Next, let’s talk about the packaging of coffee beans. Coffee beans and their packaging are like a music album and its cover. Consumers will be moved by the care put into the product and thus develop trust.
