The oldest coffee - Mocha coffee

Mocha coffee is one of the oldest coffees, and its history can be traced back to the origin of coffee. It is a mixture of Italian espresso, chocolate sauce, fresh cream and milk. Mocha is named after the famous Mocha Port. In the 15th century, the transportation industry of coffee countries in the entire Middle East and Africa was not prosperous. Mocha, Yemen, was the main export port near the Red Sea at that time. At that time, coffee was mainly concentrated in Mocha Port and then exported to other countries. African coffee was collectively called Mocha coffee. Although the emerging port replaced the status of Mocha Port, the origin of Mocha coffee during the Mocha Port period was still preserved, and the coffee beans produced in these origins are still called Mocha coffee beans.

Cafe Mocha is a variation of Italian latte. Like classic Italian latte, it is usually made of one-third espresso and two-thirds milk foam, but it also adds a small amount of chocolate. Chocolate is usually added in the form of chocolate syrup, but some coffee vending systems use instant chocolate powder instead.

Mocha coffee (also known as Moga or Mocha, also translated as Arabic premium coffee, and Café Mocha in English, meaning chocolate coffee) is a variation of Italian latte (Café Latté). Like classic Italian latte, it is usually made of one-third Italian espresso (Caffè Espresso) and two-thirds milk foam, but it also adds a small amount of chocolate. Chocolate is usually added in the form of chocolate syrup, but some coffee vending systems use instant chocolate powder instead. Sometimes, whipped cream, cocoa powder, and marshmallows are added on top to intensify the aroma of the coffee and as a decoration. Unlike Italian cappuccino, mocha coffee does not have fresh milk foam on top. Instead, mocha coffee is usually topped with some whipped cream and either cinnamon powder or cocoa powder.

How to make mocha coffee?

1. Use a coffee machine to extract 25cc of espresso. If it is inconvenient, you can use instant coffee instead.

2. Put about 5ml of chocolate sauce at the bottom of the cup.

3. Take 200ml of milk, use a milk frother to make fine milk foam and then pour it into the coffee stock solution.

4. Add sugar to the whipped cream in batches.

5. Squeeze fresh cream on top and it's done; if you like, you can decorate with latte art: squeeze out two concentric circles with chocolate sauce on the surface of the cream, then use a bamboo stick to draw 5 strokes from the center of the circle to the outside, and then use a bamboo stick to draw 5 strokes from the outside of the concentric circle to the center between the two points drawn for the first time.
