Why is latte so popular?

Why is latte so popular?

Latte, a drink that plays an important role in the coffee menu, is the coffee I have been reviewing. It is one of the coffee drinks that coffee drinkers often order. Today I will talk about my immature thoughts about it~

First of all, this is a clear cup of milk coffee (coffee with milk). I think in the past, there were customers who would ask "I want a latte without milk..." The barista must have been struggling. Secondly, this is actually a cup of milk with coffee flavor ...

It is no longer a strange knowledge that Latte (which means milk in Italian) means milk, so it is very likely that if you say this word in a place in Europe that may not be a coffee shop, you may actually get a glass of milk~

In the world of Italian coffee, latte follows the meaning of milk with coffee flavor. In terms of proportion, there is more milk, and coffee enhances the flavor of milk. The best thing is that there is also fruity or nutty flavor, which exists in the milk like a little surprise, making it a pleasant Italian milk coffee.

The milk foam of latte is much softer than that of traditional cappuccino, which makes the taste smoother, protects the temperature of the liquid under the milk foam a little bit, and prevents it from contacting with the air. In addition, early lattes did not have latte art. Some people directly used milk to make espresso, while others slowly poured milk and then covered the milk foam on top to make concentric circles or all white. Later, fancy latte art appeared. South Korea, Japan, and mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong all do well. They use a wide-mouthed cup (large pattern area, high plasticity) and thinner milk foam (better fluidity and high operability) to create a feeling of water ripples, and make different patterns (heart, leaf or combination patterns), which finally developed into the current latte art.

A delicious latte that looks good is great, but remember that it should taste good!

Delicious and beautiful latte is a work of art

A latte that looks good but tastes bad is just a decoration

A good latte is a must

Speaking of taste, the main taste of latte is sweet! Yes sweet! Yes sweet!

And it should be easy to drink. It is not as sweet as if sugar is added, but the contrast between the bitterness of coffee highlights the sweetness of milk. Milk plays a dominant role, and coffee plays a supporting role to enrich the milk.

Unlike cappuccino, which has a balance between milk foam, milk sweetness, and coffee sweetness, it has an endless variety of flavors.

Unlike the flat white, which reduces the milk foam to a minimum, the coffee flavor dominates the sweetness of the milk, and it is bitter and mellow.

A good latte has the right temperature and the right coffee aroma, not strong but not as light as Starbucks (although Starbucks does follow the theme of latte, it tastes like milk with coffee flavor, but it is not a good latte), and it also has the right capacity (i.e. the size of the cup) and proportion to reflect the enhancement and display of the taste of esp in the milk. A very good latte is sweet and has a special flavor that will make people happy.

Latte is a gentle coffee drink that is very suitable for afternoon tea and replenishes milk energy. If you want a strong and refreshing milk coffee, you can choose flat white. For professional drinking, you can choose cappuccino (the most difficult to make and the most challenging for baristas) . Enjoy life with a cup of latte~ It is even better with dessert~
