Do you know the three major varieties of coffee beans: Arabica, Robusta and Regina?

Coffee is one of the most popular coffee drinks in the world, and coffee beans are an important raw material for making coffee. Among the many varieties of coffee beans, Arabica, Robusta and Regina are recognized as the three main varieties.

First of all, Arabica is one of the most common and popular coffee bean varieties. It is usually grown in high altitude areas such as South America, Central America and East Africa. Arabica beans have lower caffeine content and higher acidity, making their taste smoother, more aromatic and rich. This bean has a relatively low yield and requires special processing to maintain its premium characteristics.

Secondly, Robusta is another widely cultivated coffee bean variety. Compared with Arabica, Robusta is easier to grow and adapt to different climatic conditions. It is cultivated on a large scale in Asia, Central Africa, and Brazil. Robusta has a high yield and contains more caffeine, making its taste stronger and more bitter. This bean is usually used to make strong Italian coffee and drinks with higher caffeine content.

Finally, Liberica is a relatively uncommon but still important coffee bean variety. It is grown primarily in Southeast Asia, in countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Regina beans have a unique and intense aroma and are often described as having a nutty or woody flavor. Although less produced, Regina beans are very popular in certain markets.

In summary, Arabica, Robusta and Regina are the three main coffee bean varieties. Each variety has its own unique characteristics and application range, providing diverse choices for different taste preferences. Whether you like smooth and fragrant or strong and bitter, these three varieties can meet your needs for delicious coffee.
