Lightly roasted or medium roasted coffee beans, which one is more suitable for your taste?

For coffee lovers, choosing the roasting degree that suits their taste is very important. Different roasting degrees will bring different flavors and tastes, so everyone has their own preferred roasting degree of coffee beans. Between light roasting and medium roasting, I prefer medium roasting.

First of all, medium roasting can preserve the characteristics and flavor of the coffee beans themselves. Compared with light roasting, medium roasting will cause a certain degree of oxidation reaction inside the coffee beans and release more complex and rich aromas. This rich fragrance is endless aftertaste, and when tasting, you can fully experience the original characteristics of the coffee beans, such as the balance of sour and sweet, fruity or nutty.

Secondly, medium roasting can also provide a more balanced and soft taste. Compared with the light (light) burnt (dark) burnt taste with a slightly sour or bitter feeling, medium roast is more acceptable and suitable for most people's taste. It has a certain acidity and freshness, as well as a richer sweetness and mellowness. This balance makes medium roasted coffee beans the first choice for many people in coffee shops to taste coffee every day.

Finally, medium roasting also performs well in making a variety of coffee drinks. Whether it is espresso, latte or cappuccino, medium roasting can maintain its original flavor and blend perfectly with other ingredients. It can provide enough aroma and taste to balance the taste of milk or other additives, but it will not be too heavy or too dark to cover up the overall flavor.

In short, it is not easy to choose coffee beans that suit your taste between light roasting and medium roasting. However, for me personally, I prefer medium roasting. It retains the characteristics and flavor of the coffee beans themselves, provides a balanced and soft taste, and can also perform well when making various coffee drinks. Whether you pursue the pure enjoyment of the original flavor or like to try various coffee ideas, medium roasting can meet my taste needs.
