Coffee Bean Brewing Guide: Perfect Taste of Home-Roasted Coffee!

Coffee Bean Brewing Guide: Perfect Taste of Home-Roasted Coffee!

Coffee is a must-have drink for many people every morning, and home-roasted coffee can bring a perfect taste experience. Here is a guide to brewing coffee beans to help you make satisfying coffee at home.

First of all, it is very important to choose the right coffee beans. There are a variety of coffee beans with different origins and flavor characteristics on the market. If you like a strong, bitter taste, you can choose a deep roast (French RoaST) or an Italian roast (Italian RoaST); if you prefer a fresh, fragrant taste, you can try a medium roast (Medium RoaST) or a light roast (Light Roast). No matter which type you choose, make sure you buy fresh and high-quality coffee beans.

Secondly, using the right ratio and temperature during the brewing process is also key. Generally speaking, it is recommended to use about 15g to 18g (about 2 tablespoons) of medium-crushed coffee powder with 240ml to 300ml (8oz to 10oz) of water. If you like a strong taste, you can increase the amount of coffee powder; if you prefer a light taste, you can reduce the amount of coffee powder. In addition, heating the water to between 90°C and 96°C (195°F to 205°F) is the ideal brewing temperature.

Finally, it is important to master timing and technique during the brewing process. Pour the hot water evenly over the coffee grounds and stir gently to ensure that all coffee particles are fully soaked. Then wait for about 4 minutes for the coffee to fully extract. Be careful not to over-stir or soak for too long, otherwise it may cause bitterness or sourness.

In summary, making your own roasted perfect tasting coffee requires choosing the right beans, using the right ratio and temperature, and mastering the brewing time and technique. With these simple but critical steps, you can enjoy homemade coffee at home that is equal to or even better than that of a specialty store.
