Coffee Bean Varieties Revealed! Did you know?

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world, and coffee beans are the key ingredient in making coffee. Different coffee bean varieties have unique flavors and characteristics. Let's reveal some common coffee bean varieties.

First up is Arabica beans, which are considered one of the highest quality and best tasting coffee beans. Arabica beans are usually grown in high altitude areas such as Colombia, Brazil and Ethiopia. This variety has a lower caffeine content and a higher acidity, with a floral, fruity or chocolate-like sweet taste.

Next is Robusta beans, which are also common in the market. Compared with Arabica beans, Robusta is easier to cultivate and has a higher yield. This variety is usually grown in low-altitude areas such as Vietnam, Brazil and India. Robusta beans have a higher caffeine content and a bitter taste, with a hint of caramel or nuts in the rich coffee aroma.

In addition, there is a coffee bean variety called Blue Mountain. Blue Mountain beans are mainly produced in the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica and are known as one of the best coffees in the world. This variety grows at high altitudes and in rainy environments, so it matures slowly, but also retains more delicate and complex flavors. Blue Mountain beans have moderate acidity, a balanced taste, and a soft and fragrant flavor.
