Is the coffee brewed by a coffee machine really delicious?

Hello everyone, welcome to this episode of "I Really Don't Know". Coffee is one of the three major beverages in the world, along with tea and cocoa. Coffee originated in Africa, became popular in Europe and America, and now there are also a large number of coffee lovers in China.

The Chinese started drinking coffee in the 1990s, and many urbanites have become dependent on it. Although my country's annual coffee consumption is only 200,000 tons, per capita consumption is increasing at a rate of 30%, and China is expected to become the world's most promising coffee consumer.

Maybe you are a coffee lover, or you have a friend who loves coffee. But do you know what kinds of common coffee there are? Let Xiaoyan tell you.

First of all, there is the instant coffee we are familiar with. The Nestle and Maxwell sold in supermarkets belong to this category. Their advantage is convenience. You can get a cup of coffee by simply adding water and brewing it. It is also the most economical way to drink coffee.

The second type is drip coffee. The drip bag was invented in Japan. The coffee powder is placed in the filter bag, and the cardboard plywood on both sides can be hung on the cup and thrown away after brewing. Its advantage is that it is portable and retains the aroma of freshly ground coffee to the maximum extent.

Finally, the coffee machine is the real "tall, rich and handsome" one compared to the previous ones. A fully functional coffee machine can automatically control the entire process of brewing coffee, including grinding, pressing, filling, brewing, and removing residues. In simple terms, a fully automatic coffee machine only requires you to buy coffee beans yourself, and then you can wait to drink coffee.

There are many types of coffee machines, including the fully automatic coffee machines mentioned above and semi-automatic coffee machines that require manual operation. Of course, there are also capsule coffee machines that are in between. Capsule coffee machines are a type of coffee machine. Its working principle is to put coffee capsules into the capsule compartment, and then you can extract coffee with one click. Compared with semi-automatic coffee machines and fully automatic coffee machines that use coffee powder, it is very easy to operate.

So the question is, since there are so many types of coffee, including instant and capsules, which method of brewing coffee is more popular? Words are not enough, so let's find some friends to taste it.

We prepared instant coffee, drip coffee, Starbucks coffee, coffee made by ordinary coffee machine and capsule coffee machine, and invited 5 testers to score the coffee according to different tastes, with 5 points as the highest and 1 point as the lowest. Among the testers, there are deep coffee lovers and some friends who rarely drink coffee. Can they tell the difference between these coffees?

The conclusion drawn from the blind test is that capsule coffee machines have the highest total score, ordinary coffee machines and Starbucks coffee are on par with each other, followed by drip coffee, the cheapest instant coffee, which has the lowest total score.

Facts speak louder than words. Even Driver Jie, who always claimed that coffee tasted the same, could clearly taste the difference between different coffees. It seems that if you are really a coffee lover, you can really consider buying your own coffee machine! After all, you can't drink Starbucks every day, right?!

Okay, that’s it for this episode of “I Really Don’t Know”. If you have any topic you want to discuss with us, you can leave a message to Xiaoyan.
