Common coffee bean types revealed! From Arabica to Robusta, how much do you know?

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world, and coffee beans are the key ingredient for making coffee. There are many common types of coffee beans, the most well-known and widely used of which include Arabica and Robusta.

Arabica is one of the most common and popular types of coffee beans. It is usually grown in high altitude areas such as Central and South America, Africa and Asia. Arabica beans have a lower caffeine content and higher acidity, and taste smooth and delicate with different flavors such as floral, fruity or chocolate aromas.

Robusta is another common and widely used type of coffee beans. Compared with Arabica, Robusta is easier to cultivate and adapt to various environmental conditions, and can grow well in low altitude areas. Robusta beans contain higher concentrations of caffeine and have a stronger, bitter, nutty or caramel flavor.

In addition to Arabica and Robusta, there are some other common types of coffee beans. For example, Liberica is a relatively rare coffee bean, mainly produced in the Philippines. It has a unique taste and aroma and is considered to be a coffee full of personality and exotic.

There is also a relatively rare coffee bean called Excelsa from Malaysia, which is usually blended with Robusta to add complexity and flavor.

In summary, Arabica and Robusta are the two most common and widely used coffee beans. Each has its own unique characteristics and flavors, and is suitable for consumers with different taste preferences. No matter which one you like, you can experience a rich, diverse and enjoyable coffee culture in tasting.
