What kind of coffee pot is good for brewing coffee? How to choose a coffee pot

What is the best coffee pot for brewing coffee? Do you know these coffee pots? Coffee novices, take a look.

Syphon

The syphon pot is one of the most popular coffee brewing methods in coffee shops.

Principle: When the water temperature in the lower container reaches 92°C under the burning of an alcohol lamp, the water flow is sucked into the upper container with coffee powder. After soaking and stirring, the prepared coffee returns to the original path.

Grinding degree: Slightly coarser than powder, close to extra-grained granulated sugar.

The siphon brewing method has a chemistry lab feel to it. Some say it’s because it extracts the most perfect part of the coffee.

Moka Pot

The basic principle of the Moka pot is to use pressurized hot water to quickly pass through coffee powder to extract coffee liquid. The earliest Moka pot was made by Italian Alfonso Bialetti in 1933. His company Bialetti has been famous for producing this kind of coffee pot. Moka coffee pots are commonly used in Europe.

The moka pot is divided into two parts, the upper and lower parts. Water is placed in the lower part and boiled to generate steam pressure; the boiling water rises and passes through the filter pot filled with coffee powder; when the coffee flows to the upper part, turn down the fire. If the temperature is too high, the coffee will have a burnt taste.

Precautions for use

1. Water level: Use warm water, and the water level should be 0.5 cm below the safety valve. The safety valve will automatically release pressure when the pressure in the lower pot is too high to prevent safety accidents. If the water level is higher than the safety valve, the safety valve will not function properly.

2. Coffee powder: Use medium-fine coffee powder and fill the powder hopper. When filling the powder, vibrate the powder hopper appropriately to make the coffee powder evenly distributed. After filling, press the surface lightly with your fingers to make the powder denser.

Belgian Royal Coffee Pot (Balancing Syphon)

The Belgian Royal Coffee Pot combines the characteristics of a siphon coffee pot and a moka pot. The performance is full of seesaw-like fun. It combines several natural forces: fire, steam, pressure, and gravity, which makes the operation of the Belgian Royal Coffee Pot more interesting to watch. The entire brewing process is like a coffee machine performing a stage play. Because of its dazzling appearance and the fun of operation full of gimmicks, it greatly increases the emotional and romantic score of coffee.

This beautiful coffee extraction process, coupled with the fact that it is itself a beautiful work of art, makes it both practical, ornamental and collectible, which is unmatched by any other coffee pot. When coffee dances with the Belgian pot, it is the brightest part of the whole night. The entire coffee brewing process is worth watching again and again, it is amazing!

French Press

French press is also called French press. It is a coffee pot that also has the function of tea maker. Principle: Use the immersion method to release the essence of coffee through the immersion method of water and coffee powder in full contact. Applicable coffee: Coffee powder with strong or light taste. Grinding degree: coarse granular.

Disadvantages: Since the metal filter cannot filter fine powder thoroughly, the coffee beans need to be coarsely ground, and the coffee powder particles become coarser, resulting in a large amount of content that cannot be extracted. Long-term soaking will lead to excessive extraction, bitterness, astringency, and miscellaneous flavors will emerge, so the coffee taste is slightly inferior.
