The secrets of brewing coffee powder are revealed, teaching you how to make fragrant and delicious coffee!

Choice of coffee powder

To brew a mellow and delicious coffee, you first need to choose the right coffee powder. There are various types and brands of coffee powder available on the market, such as Arabica, Robusta, etc. Arabica coffee has a higher quality and taste, while Robusta is richer and more bitter. Choose the right coffee powder according to your personal taste preference.

Grinding degree and brewing method

Different brewing methods require different grinds. For brewing methods that require a longer contact time with the water, such as drip or French press, you can choose a medium to slightly fine grind, while for quick extraction methods, such as espresso or Turkish, you need a finer grind.

Water quality and temperature

Water quality is one of the most important factors affecting the taste of coffee. High-quality purified water is the best choice. Avoid using tap water that contains too many impurities or has a strong chlorine taste. In addition, the right temperature is also key. Generally speaking, the most suitable water temperature is around 90℃.

Brewing ratio

The brewing ratio of coffee is also an important factor affecting the taste. Usually 15 grams of coffee powder is used to brew 240 ml of water, and the amount can be adjusted according to personal taste. Too much coffee powder will make the taste bitter, while too little will make it taste bland and tasteless.

Drip Brewing Method

Drip coffee is one of the most common and simple home brewing methods. First, put the ground coffee powder into the filter paper and place the filter paper on the filter pot. Then slowly pour in hot water. When pouring water, keep pouring evenly and steadily, and avoid pouring too fast or too slow. After all the water passes through the filter paper, it can be drunk.

French Press Brewing Method

The French press can better preserve the original aroma and oily texture of coffee. First, put the ground coffee powder into the pot and add an appropriate amount of boiling water. Wait for a while, then gently press the filter to allow the coffee to penetrate to the bottom of the pot. Finally, tilt the French press pot and pour it into the cup and enjoy.

Espresso method

Espresso is one of the classic ways to make strong coffee. First, put the ground coffee powder into the filter basket of the espresso machine and pat it lightly with your fingers. Then turn on the machine and let the high-pressure steam pass through the powder to brew and extract. Stop when the desired amount of liquid flows out.

Turkish Brewing Method

Turkish coffee is a traditional and special brewing method that requires a special Turkish pot and finely ground coffee powder. First, add an appropriate amount of water and ground coffee powder to the pot, and add a small amount of sugar (according to personal taste). Then slowly heat it to boiling and quickly remove the foam on the top. After repeating this step several times, when the liquid boils again, pour it into a cup and drink it.

Preservation of coffee

In order to maintain the freshness and taste of coffee, the correct storage method is essential. Store unopened coffee powder in a cool, dry and well-sealed container away from direct sunlight and humid environment. The opened coffee powder should be used up quickly and should not be exposed to the air for a long time.

With the above brewing skills and methods, I believe you can easily brew a mellow and delicious coffee. Remember to choose coffee powder of appropriate quality and taste, master the grinding degree required for different brewing methods, pay attention to water quality and temperature, and reasonably adjust the brewing ratio and other key factors, and you will enjoy a cup of pleasant and delicious coffee!
