Choosing the right coffee beans

Purify water

Before making pour-over coffee, make sure you use purified or filtered water. Because water quality directly affects the final taste, it is very important to use a high-quality water source.

Grinding fresh beans

Putting the purchased fresh coffee beans into the grinder for on-site grinding is one of the key steps. Adjust the coarseness of the grinder according to the equipment used and personal preference. Generally speaking, hand-brewed coffee requires medium to slightly fine grinding.


Preheating equipment


Before brewing, be sure to preheat the hand-brew kettle, filter paper and cup. This can keep the coffee temperature more stable and avoid changes in taste caused by temperature differences.

Correct use of filter paper

Place the filter paper in the filter and wet it with boiling water. This will remove any paper smell that may be present and make the process smoother. Then place the filter over the hand-pour kettle.

A longer steeping time will make the coffee taste more mellow, while a shorter steeping time will bring a more refreshing taste.

Pour the coffee slowly

Place the hand-pour kettle over the cup and slowly and evenly tilt the kettle to pour the coffee into the cup. This maintains a steady flow rate and uniformity, ensuring that every drop can fully release the aroma and taste.
