Learn how to make coffee

1. Choose coffee beans

The first step in brewing coffee is to choose the right coffee beans. There are various types of coffee beans available on the market, such as Arabica and Robusta. Arabica beans are generally considered to be of the best quality, with higher acidity and aroma. Robusta is more bitter and strong.

2. Grind the coffee beans

It's important to grind your chosen coffee beans into a powder that's perfect for the way you want to brew it. If you're brewing with a drip or French press, you can grind your coffee to a medium-fine consistency, while if you're brewing with an espresso pot, you'll need to grind it finer.

3. Purify water

Water quality is crucial to brewing delicious coffee. It is recommended to use a filter to purify tap water or buy purified water to brew coffee that you like to drink for a better taste, purer flavor, and without impurities.

4. Choose the right brewing method

Choose the right brewing method based on your personal taste and the equipment you have. Common brewing methods include drip brewing, French press, espresso pot, etc. Each method has its own unique advantages and applicable scenarios.

5. Control water temperature and time

Correctly controlling the water temperature and soaking time is the key to brewing good coffee. Generally speaking, the water temperature should be around 90°C. Too high or too low will affect the taste of the coffee. The soaking time depends on the specific situation, usually between 2-4 minutes.

6. Pay attention to proportion

The ratio of coffee powder to water is also a very important factor. It is usually recommended to use 15 grams of coffee powder to 240 ml of water for a medium-strength cup of coffee.

7. Tips and Adjustments

With constant practice and experimentation, you can discover what you like and how you like the taste, aroma, and mood to drink a perfect cup of coffee. Try adjusting the grind size, water temperature, steeping time and other factors to find the brewing method that best suits your taste.

8. Cleaning Equipment

Regular cleaning of your coffee brewing equipment is key to maintaining its performance and quality. Different equipment has different cleaning methods, so please proceed according to the specific situation.

9. Storing coffee beans

To keep the coffee beans fresh and taste good, it is recommended to store them in a dry, cool and well-sealed container. Avoid direct sunlight and humid environment to avoid affecting the quality of the coffee.

10. Enjoy delicious food

The last step is of course to sit down and savor the delicious coffee you carefully made! Whether you are gathering with friends or enjoying time alone, a cup of fragrant, delicate and pleasant coffee can bring you a pleasant and unforgettable experience.
