Round Coffee: A Guide to Perfect Use

Coffee is a must-have drink for many people every morning, and aperitif coffee is a unique way of making it that can bring you an unusual taste experience. This article will introduce you to how to perfectly use aperitif coffee machine to make aperitif coffee with a rich taste and strong aroma.

Preparation

Before you start making aperitif, you will need to prepare the following materials and equipment:

  • Freshly ground high quality coffee beans
  • Kettle or tap filter suitable for brewing aerated coffee
  • A clean, grease-free glass or ceramic mug
  • A round glass container (i.e. a round airpot) filled with filter paper and a metal mesh (filter)
  • A digital scale or measuring cup to ensure accurate measurements of the required proportions
  • A grinder or coffee grinder
  • A thermometer (optional)

Make sure all equipment and materials are clean and hygienic so as not to affect the taste of the coffee.

Step 1: Prepare coffee beans and water

First, you need to choose fresh, high-quality coffee beans. It is recommended to buy whole coffee beans that are not crushed or pre-packaged, and grind them on site before use. This ensures that you get the freshest and most fragrant flavor.

Next, you need to prepare water suitable for brewing aperitif. It is recommended to use filtered tap water or purified water to ensure that there are no odors or impurities that affect the taste you taste.

Step 2: Accurately measure the proportions

A very important point in the process of making round coffee is to accurately measure the required ratio. Generally, it is recommended to use a ratio between 1:15 and 1:17 (that is, 1 gram of coffee powder corresponds to 15 to 17 ml of water).

Use a digital scale or measuring cup to accurately measure the required coffee beans and water. This ensures that each cup of aerated coffee has the same taste and strength.

Step 3: Grind the coffee beans

Depending on the type of round air blaster you choose, you will need to adjust the grind of your coffee beans. Generally speaking, a coarser grind is better for a metal mesh filter, while a finer grind is better for a paper filter.

Using a suitable manual or electric coffee bean grinder, grind your prepared coffee beans as finely or coarsely as desired. Be careful to keep turning the handle or start button steadily and evenly throughout the process to obtain uniform particle size.

Step 4: Pre-wash the filter

Before you start brewing, pre-wash the filter with the metal mesh and paper filter in the round glass container (i.e. the round aerator). This will remove the pulp residue in the filter and provide a better extraction environment for the coffee beans.

Place the filter in a round glass container and rinse it with hot water. Then, tilt the filter to drain excess water. Make sure there are no noticeable odors or impurities.

Step 5: Brew a spritz of coffee

Now you are ready to start making aperitif coffee! Follow these steps:

  1. Place the pre-washed round glass container on top of the clean, grease-free cup.
  2. Use a measuring cup or electronic scale to accurately measure the weight of coffee beans in the desired ratio (e.g. 1:15) and pour it into the filter made of filter paper and metal mesh.
  3. Gently shake the round glass container to evenly distribute the coffee beans over the entire bottom area.
  4. Slowly and evenly pour in lukewarm (about 90°C to 95°C) but not boiling water. During the pouring process, you can watch the coffee beans gradually expand and bubble.
  5. Wait about 3 to 4 minutes for the coffee to fully steep and extract.
  6. When the time is up, remove the round glass container from over the cup and place it on a clean flat surface.

Step 6: Enjoy the round coffee

Now you have successfully made a cup of round coffee with rich taste and aroma! With a clean ceramic or glass cup without grease residue, slowly tilt the round glass container to allow the liquid inside to slowly flow out. This can maintain the best taste and avoid excessive sediment.

Enjoy your perfect coffee! If you need to add milk foam or other condiments, please do so according to your personal preference. Remember to clean all used equipment in time to keep it hygienic and always be ready to brew delicious coffee again.
