Drink this newly upgraded Luckin Coffee! Judges from 18 countries conducted a blind test and Luckin Coffee won the international gold medal

Wenhui.com (Reporter Xiong Junhui) The newly upgraded coffee beans of Luckin Coffee, the second largest coffee chain brand in China, won the gold medal in the 2018 International Coffee Tasting Competition.

On the 5th, at the IIAC 2018 International Coffee Tasting Competition held in Milan, Italy, after a rigorous blind test by judges from 18 countries and regions, Luckin Coffee's newly upgraded coffee beans stood out from more than 300 similar products and won the gold award. As of the end of November, Luckin Coffee had more than 1,700 stores in 21 cities across the country, making it the second largest coffee chain brand in China.

In the IIAC 2018 International Coffee Tasting Competition, Luckin Coffee participated in the competition with the latest upgraded coffee beans currently used in all its stores. The judges from 18 countries and regions tasted independently and conducted multiple rounds of evaluations on more than 300 coffee products in a strictly anonymous blind test. Luckin Coffee finally won the gold medal in the espresso group of the IIAC 2018 International Coffee Tasting Competition.

The International Coffee Connoisseurs Association (IIAC) was founded in 1993 as a non-profit organization. The IIAC International Coffee Connoisseurs Competition Gold Award is an Oscar-level award in the international coffee bean competition. Its purpose is to highlight coffee that has been carefully picked, professionally processed, carefully screened, carefully roasted, and uniquely blended around the world, highlighting the pleasure it brings to users in terms of taste, and at the same time, making consumers aware of high-quality products on the market.

On November 28, all Luckin Coffee stores across the country completed a major upgrade of coffee beans, all using newly upgraded coffee beans. Since January this year, Luckin Coffee has been using top-quality Arabica seasonal green beans from four famous origins in the world, including Ethiopia, Brazil, Guatemala, and Colombia, and professionally blended by the WBC World Barista Champion team. Its champion team members include 2014 WBC Grand Champion Izaki Hidenori, 2003 WBC Italian Champion Andrea Latuwada, and 2017 WBC Chinese Champion Pan Zhimin. After 10 months of user information collection and taste feedback, and after professional blending by a team of three WBC World Barista Champions, the upgraded Luckin Coffee new beans first choose Ethiopian sun-dried Sidamo seasonal green beans, and the coffee becomes more mellow and fragrant after medium-deep roasting.
