Coffee Knowledge for Beginners: Learn about Each Type of Coffee

In recent years, coffee, one of the three major beverages in the world, has gradually become part of Chinese people's lives and has become a daily necessity for many Chinese people. If you want to drink coffee, you must first understand coffee. Today, let's take a look at the classification of coffee and what flavors each type of coffee has. After reading this article, you will go from a novice to an entry-level coffee drinker.

Espresso : It is a type of coffee with a very strong taste. It is usually made by grinding coffee into very fine powder and then using high pressure to make the powder (invented and developed in Italy in the early 20th century). Espresso means "fast" in Italian. It is made quickly, within 30 seconds, and it is drunk quickly, in two or three sips. It is the coffee with the strongest flavor.

Americano : Black coffee made with a drip coffee maker. It can also be obtained by adding espresso to water. It has a high caffeine content and a relatively light taste, making it suitable for weight loss. Americans like its simplicity and convenience, and the French say it tastes like water for washing socks.

Vilavie (Vilawei Cold Brew Coffee) : After extracting coffee concentrate from coffee beans, it is extracted by vacuum freezing at -40℃. Ultra-low temperature freezing can perfectly preserve the flavor and taste of coffee, and can also lock in the nutrients of coffee itself. The coffee produced in this way has a rich aroma and a pure taste.

Espresso Con Panna: One of the Italian coffee varieties, usually with a proper amount of fresh cream or toffee; Con means "and", Panna means "fresh cream", and Espresso Con Panna is coffee with fresh cream. The cream floats on the dark coffee, like white clouds in the sky.

Coffee latte: A combination of Italian espresso and milk. Compared with cappuccino, it has a stronger milk flavor. Latte means "milk" in Italian. Italian latte only has milk and coffee. The English latte sold at Starbucks has milk foam on top.

Cappuccino: It was created around the same time as the steam coffee machine in the early 20th century. It is a mixture of equal amounts of espresso and foamed milk. It is named because its color resembles the cappuccino monks wearing brown coats and white turbans. Espresso, steamed milk and milk foam each account for 1/3.

Cafe Mocha : A mixture of espresso, chocolate sauce, fresh cream and milk. In Europe, there is a chocolate espresso drink, also known as Mocha coffee; "Mocha" refers to both the production method and the coffee beans produced in Mocha. It has rich ingredients and taste, and the chocolate adds a sweetness, which is generally popular among girls.

Caramel Macchiato : Hot milk, espresso, vanilla, and then topped with caramel, and caramel macchiato is born; the earliest meaning of Macchiato is "branding, printing and dyeing". Traditional macchiato does not contain milk, but only adds a few spoonfuls of milk foam to the espresso to neutralize the sourness of the coffee itself.

Cafe Breve (half latte) : espresso base with half cream and half milk, then topped with milk foam... The proportions of Breve are difficult to control, and many people adjust them according to their preferences.

Finally, coffee must be drunk while it is hot. The best tasting temperature of coffee is about 55-60 degrees Celsius. Once the coffee drops to room temperature, the flavor will be lost a lot. Therefore, you must drink the coffee in small sips while it is hot in time to avoid wasting the aroma of coffee.
