A new way to make hand-brewed coffee, bringing you a taste of ice and fire

It has been sunny in Shanghai these past two days, and the temperature has soared to 20°. It feels like summer is really coming!

But Mr. Coffee, who cannot live without ice, is no longer satisfied with drinking steaming black coffee every day and has begun to try iced coffee.

But to be honest, although my heart has flown to summer, my stomach is still in winter. After taking a sip of iced coffee, my stomach will shiver.

When I was worried, I found a kind of "ice fire hand brewed coffee" while surfing the Internet. It uses ice cubes, feels like summer, and the temperature is not too low. So, I tried to make it ⬇️

The difference between ice and fire hand punch and ice hand punch

Ice brewing is to put an appropriate amount of ice cubes into the sharing pot, and the brewing method is no different from normal. The only difference is that the water-to-powder ratio will be reduced from 1:15 to 1:10 or 1:12, thereby increasing the concentration of the coffee liquid.

The ice and fire hand brewing method is to put ice cubes into the filter cup, spread it flat under the coffee powder, and then hand brew it.

How to make ice and fire hand brewed coffee:

【you need to】

25g coffee beans, 300ml water, about 100g ice cubes

1. Put 100g of ice cubes into the rinsed filter cup, spread the ground coffee powder on the ice cubes, and let it sit for one minute. (Extraction begins)

2. Pour 60g of 90-degree hot water to fully moisten the coffee powder, open the extraction channel, and let it stand for about 30 seconds. At this time, the ice cubes under the filter cup will slowly melt. At the same time, put the hand brewing pot on the base and continue to heat it to 96 degrees.

3. Add water for the second time, using a one-time thin stream of water to continuously add 240g of water, with the initial water temperature being 96 degrees. After the water is added, wait until the coffee drops to half the height of the filter cup, then remove the filter cup, and the ice-fire hand-brewed coffee is ready.

The original tutorial actually requires waiting for all the coffee to drip before removing the filter cup. Considering that the coffee flavor may have some unpleasant taste after all the coffee drips, it has been slightly modified.

We use premium beans with distinctive flavor, pleasant aroma, distinct sweetness, lasting aftertaste, and just the right temperature when you put it in your mouth.

If you feel it is not enough, you can add ice cubes into the cup, which is another style.
