The growth journey of coffee seedlings

Coffee bean seedlings are a unique plant that undergoes a wonderful and challenging growth process. From germination to thriving growth to fruiting, each stage is full of mystery and beauty. The following will take you into the growth journey of coffee bean seedlings.

1. Germination

A tiny coffee bean lies in the soil for a long time, waiting for the right time to give birth to life. When the temperature, humidity and sunlight all reach the right conditions, the seed begins to absorb water and bursts with cell vitality. Soon after, it breaks through the surface of the soil and a young and soft stem stretches out from underground.

2. Growth

As the stem continues to extend upward, the leaves begin to unfold. The initial leaves are light green and very fragile. However, as time goes by and nutrients are absorbed, the leaves become tougher and gradually turn dark green. At the same time, the stem gradually becomes thicker to support more leaves and future fruits.

3. Flowering

When coffee bean seedlings reach a certain growth stage, they will begin to bloom. The flowers of coffee bean seedlings are small, white, and have a light fragrance. These flowers are usually clustered at the top of the stem and only last for a few days. However, during this short time, they attract many bees and other insects to come and pollinate.

4. Results

After pollination, the coffee bean seedlings begin to bear fruit. The fruit is green at first and gradually turns red or yellow. When the fruit is ripe, the skin will split open to reveal two seeds - the part we call "coffee beans".

5. Harvesting and processing

When the coffee beans are fully ripe, farmers begin to pick them. They use special tools to peel the ripe coffee beans from the tree and perform preliminary processing to remove the skin. Afterwards, the coffee beans are dried, roasted and ground to become the coffee powder we love.

6. Tasting

After a series of processing steps, coffee beans finally become coffee powder with rich aroma and taste. People can taste this delicious drink by brewing it and enjoy the pleasure and energy it brings.

Conclusion

From germination to fruiting, coffee bean seedlings go through a growth journey full of miracles and challenges. They need suitable environmental conditions, nutrient supply and patience to thrive. Behind every cup of fragrant and delicious coffee, there are countless small and strong lives working silently.
