Coffee beans and various methods of making coffee

Coffee Bean Selection

To make a delicious cup of coffee, you first need to choose the right coffee beans. Coffee beans produced in different regions have unique flavors and tastes, so you can choose coffee beans from different origins according to your personal preferences. Common ones include Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, etc.

Grinding coffee beans

In order to ensure that the extracted coffee has a rich taste, we need to grind the selected coffee beans. The coarseness will affect the extraction time and taste. For the brewing method, coarse particles are suitable for long-term soaking; while fine particles are suitable for rapid filtering.

Drip Brewing Method

Drip brewing is the most common and easiest method. First, prepare a filter paper and put it in the filter pot. Then add an appropriate amount of water at a temperature of about 90°C (adjust according to personal preference). After the water temperature stabilizes, start pouring water until it just covers all the soaked coffee powder. Wait for 30 seconds, then slowly pour in the remaining water. Wait for the water droplets to completely pass through the filter paper, and you can enjoy the fragrant coffee.

French Press Brewing Method

The French press is a traditional and classic brewing tool. First, put the ground coffee powder into the pot, then add an appropriate amount of water at a temperature of about 90°C. Stir gently to mix the coffee and water thoroughly, and seal the lid to keep the temperature stable. After waiting for about 4 minutes, press the piston to push the filter down to the bottom and pour it out to enjoy.

Espresso

Espresso is a strong and rich brewing method. First, you need to prepare an espresso machine and put the finely ground coffee powder into the filter basket and compact it evenly. Then turn on the machine to start extraction. The whole process is completed within 20-30 seconds to get delicious and mellow espresso with delicate cream color and layered texture.

Cold Brew Coffee

Cold brew coffee is a special brewing method suitable for people who like a refreshing taste and low acidity. First, put the ground coffee powder into a container, add an appropriate amount of room temperature water and stir evenly, then seal the lid and let it stand for 12-24 hours. After the time has passed, use filter paper or filter mesh to filter out the solid particles to get a fresh, mellow and smooth cold brew coffee.

Summarize

The above introduces several common and easy methods of making coffee. Whether you like a strong or light taste, you can choose different methods according to your preferences to make a cup of delicious and pleasant coffee.
