Latte is Italian coffee, so you should choose dark brown, deeply roasted coffee beans, which have little acidity and rich flavor. Scoop a spoonful of beans into the grinder and adjust the grinder to the finest setting. Italian coffee requires to be ground into fine powder, while American drip coffee only needs medium grinding, which is larger than the grains of salt. Different coffee making methods have their own requirements for selecting beans and grinding. This is a moka pot. It consists of three parts. The coffee powder is placed in the middle filter, and water is added to the bottom layer. After brewing, the water in the bottom layer turns into steam, which is fully extracted through the middle powder layer and evaporates into coffee and gathers on the upper layer. This is the principle of Italian steam extraction. Put the coffee powder in the middle filter and press it flat with a spoon so that it fills the filter. Pour boiling water into the bottom layer, and the amount of water should not exceed the protruding vents on the wall of the pot. Be sure to use boiling water, because cold water will deteriorate the taste of coffee powder during the heating process. Assemble the three parts, tighten them, and put them on the induction cooker until the "gurgling" sound of the boiling water in the pot disappears and the steam on the pot becomes smaller, then turn off the machine. The whole process takes just over a minute, so you have to wait aside during this time, because it will explode if it is overcooked. Heat 100 ml of milk in the microwave for 40 seconds. Do not overheat or boil the milk, otherwise you will not be able to make milk foam. Pour the hot milk into the cup for making milk foam, and pull the piston on the lid up and down a dozen times. The milk will expand into milk foam. Pour hot water into the coffee cup to warm it up. The picture of this process is wrong. The coffee should be poured into the cup first, and then the milk foam. Ok, a latte is done. A bitter latte paired with a dessert is the taste of happiness. |
