Espresso

Caffeine: ★★★☆☆

Using an espresso machine to brew finely ground and compacted coffee powder with high-pressure water makes the coffee more intense than other methods. Due to the higher concentration of suspended matter and the reddish-brown coffee crema on the surface, the taste is strong and rich. Espresso can be single, double, and triple, using a ratio of approximately 7, 14, and 21 grams of ground coffee powder.

practice:

1. Use a coffee spoon to measure 1 scoop of coffee powder (6-7 grams). You can buy pre-ground coffee powder or grind the coffee beans into powder using a coffee grinder. Freshly ground coffee has less volatile aroma and tastes more mellow.

2. Pour the coffee powder into the filter of the espresso machine and use a tamper to flatten the coffee.

3. Install the coffee maker.

4. Turn on the espresso machine and extract about 30ml of espresso.

Espresso Con Panna

Caffeine: ★★★★☆

It is a kind of Italian fancy coffee. The black and white appearance can be clearly seen in the transparent glass cup, so it is also called Snow Mountain Coffee. The biggest feature of Combo Blue is the cold cream and hot espresso. Generally speaking, it does not need to be stirred before drinking Combo Blue. The strong and rich espresso is mixed with the sweet cream, and the taste is dense and smooth. In addition, it has a unique flavor when taken hot or cold.

practice:

  1. It's okay to prepare espresso coffee by hand or instant black coffee. It's best to use an Italian coffee machine to extract it.

  2. Squeeze the slightly cooled coffee over the whipped cream

  3. Sprinkle with chocolate powder and finish

Americano

Caffeine: ★★★☆☆

American coffee can be said to be a general term for black coffee. Whether it is coffee brewed in a French press or a hand brewing pot, it can be generally called American coffee. In Italy, American coffee is usually made by placing a cup of hot water next to espresso for you to add. The ratio of espresso to water depends on personal taste, which is about 1:12. American coffee tastes lighter and does not have the strong taste of Italian espresso. Of course, it is easier for people who do not drink coffee to accept it.

practice:

  1. Put the coffee powder in a glass bowl (or stainless steel bowl) and add 280ml of pure water. Stir gently to make sure the coffee powder and water are in full contact. Cover the lid and leave it at room temperature for 8 to 12 hours.

  2. After 8 hours, open the lid and stir gently. The fresh coffee oil will float to the top and most of the coffee grounds will sink to the bottom.

  3. Then filter out the espresso liquid. There are many tools you can use, such as fine filters, gauze, etc.

    Caffè latte

    Caffeine: ★★★☆☆

    Latte means milk in Italian. When you go to Italy, you must not order latte directly, otherwise the waiter will bring you a cup of hot milk instead of coffee. It can be seen that milk is the protagonist of this cup of coffee. The standard ratio is about 1/6 espresso, 4/6 hot milk, and 1/6 milk foam. In addition, you can also add different flavors such as cinnamon and vanilla. Due to the high proportion of milk and thick milk foam, the taste is sweeter, smoother and more delicate.

    1. 1 or 2 espresso packs;

    2. One mug of pure milk, heated to 60-65 degrees;

    3. Pour the milk into the frothing pot, beat it into fine foam, and shake off the large bubbles;

    4. Pour the syrup into the cup, add 180ml of milk from the bottom of the milk frothing pot and stir well;

    5. Add milk foam until 60% to 70% full;

    6. Slowly pour in the espresso coffee.

    Cappuccino

    Caffeine: ★★★☆☆

    Cappuccino means foamy coffee in Italian, and also refers to the loose robes and small pointed hats of Franciscan monks (just like the brown color of cappuccino). The difference between cappuccino and latte is the mixing ratio, espresso, fresh milk and milk foam are 1:1:1 respectively. First pour espresso, hot milk, and finally a thick layer of milk foam, and then sprinkle cinnamon powder, cocoa powder or citrus and lemon peels to add flavor.

    practice:

    1. Pour in brewed Italian coffee about 50% full;

    2. Pour the frothed hot milk until it is 80% full;

    3. Pour the milk foam on the top of the steel cup into it and it's done.

    Café Mocha

    Caffeine: ★★★☆☆

    It is a type of Italian fancy coffee with espresso as the base, and the ratio of espresso with chocolate syrup, fresh milk and milk foam is 1:0.5:1.5:1. Chocolate can also be added in the form of white chocolate. The most obvious flavor of mocha coffee is the slightly bitter and burnt aroma of cocoa. Some fancy mocha coffee can also be decorated with cream, cocoa powder and marshmallows on the milk foam to enhance the characteristics and aroma of the coffee.

    practice:

    1. Pour boiling water directly into the coffee powder, and filter out the coffee grounds.

    2. Heat the milk in a microwave oven on high for 2 minutes, add cocoa powder and mix well;

    3. Pour cocoa milk into coffee and stir well;

    4. Beat the whipped cream until it is 50% distributed. Squeeze the whipped cream into a coffee cup and squeeze two concentric circles of chocolate sauce on the surface of the cream.

    5. To decorate the mocha, use a bamboo stick to make 5 strokes from the center of the circle to the outside. In the middle of the two points drawn the first time, use a bamboo stick to make 5 strokes from the outside of the concentric circles to the center of the circle.

    Caramel Macchiato

    Caffeine: ★★★★☆

    The Italian word means "brand", just like a sweet mark, and it contains espresso, vanilla and caramel, and you can taste three aromas at once. Generally speaking, it cannot be stirred before drinking, so your lips will be covered with sweet milk foam and thick caramel sauce, followed by vanilla-flavored milk foam, and finally the rich and sweet espresso. However, compared with latte and cappuccino, the proportion of espresso in caramel macchiato is higher.

    practice:

    1. Caramel syrup: add sugar and water and cook over low heat until caramel color appears. Do not stir during the cooking process. Turn off the heat when the color turns yellow.

    2. Use the remaining temperature to color it, then slowly pour in the warm whipped cream, stirring quickly while pouring to make caramel syrup.

    3. Caramel Macchiato: Add a spoonful of caramel syrup to a coffee cup, pour in black coffee and stir well;

    4. Heat the milk to warm, use a frother to make dense milk foam, and use a spoon to scoop out the foam to fill the cup;

    5. Put a spoonful of caramel syrup into a disposable piping bag, cut a small hole, and squeeze patterns on the milk foam.

    Irish Coffee

    Caffeine: ★★★★☆

    Some people say that Irish coffee is a cocktail, not coffee. In fact, it makes sense because Irish coffee itself is made with whiskey, which not only has the aroma of coffee but also the aroma of wine. The method of making Irish coffee is usually to pour sugar first, then burn the alcohol in the whiskey to slightly caramelize the sugar juice, then add espresso, and finally add fresh cream. The charming aroma floats in the air and enters the nasal cavity, colliding and blending with each other, which is the most suitable for a warm cup in winter.

    Viennese coffee

    Caffeine: ★★★☆☆

    Viennese coffee, also known as "one-horse carriage", was invented by a coachman named Ein Schubner. As its name suggests, Viennese coffee is the favorite way of drinking coffee in Vienna, Austria. First, sprinkle a thin layer of sugar or fine rock sugar on the bottom of the warm coffee cup, then pour in espresso and garnish with fresh cream. The taste is like a trio, tasting the bitterness and rich aroma of espresso in the delicate syrup, and finally the warm fresh cream taste blended in the coffee; as for American Viennese coffee, chocolate syrup is also added, so of course the calories are higher!

    Image source: China Coffee Network www.gafei.com

    practice:

    1. Pour the brewed coffee into the cup, about 80% full;

    2. Add whipped cream on top of coffee in a swirling motion;

    3. Drizzle with appropriate amount of chocolate syrup;

    4. Finally, sprinkle with colorful rice and serve with sugar.
