Today I’m going to talk about the heart-shaped latte art technique. It seems super easy when you watch someone who knows how to make latte art, but when you actually try to do it yourself, you find that it’s not as simple as it looks.

In the skill training of coffee latte art, beginners should not only develop good operating habits, but also formulate a good learning plan! Learn from foreign coffee latte art techniques and break through the bottleneck of skills through repeated practice.

1. Inject at 1//3, tilt the coffee cup at about 30 degrees, and raise the latte art cup 10cm to pierce the coffee oil;

2. Lower the latte art cup so that it is close to the mouth of the coffee cup. Keep a certain flow rate and swing evenly with a width of 1 cm to make white spots appear on the surface.

3. As the cup is shaken, the shape becomes larger. At this time, please note: the latte art machine must not move back, and continue to keep the flow rate swinging at a fixed point;

4. When the cup is full, the coffee cup should be slowly laid flat to prevent overflow. Continuing to shake the cup can make the heart-shaped pattern more layered and linear;

5. When the cup is 90% full, slowly lift the cup, reduce the flow rate, and slowly pour it into the front part of the heart shape;

6. The position of the milk line determines the symmetry of the left and right sizes of the heart shape;

7. When the line is wound up, the cup is full but not overflowing. The thickness of the milk foam in the coffee cup should be 1-1.5cm. Congratulations, a beautiful heart-shaped cappuccino is ready.

Coffee art tips for coffee beginners

1. The milk foam must be fine and dense. At the same time, the milk foam and milk must be fully mixed and not allowed to separate. Otherwise, when the milk foam and milk are poured into the coffee cup, the milk and coffee will be mixed, and there will be a pile of milk foam on top.

Steam pipe form

There are two main types of steam pipes: external expansion type and centralized type. Different types of steam pipes will produce different steam output intensities and volumes. In addition, the position and number of steam outlet holes will cause differences in angles and methods when frothing milk. When frothing milk, the external expansion steam pipe should not be too close to the edge of the steel cup to avoid turbulence; and the centralized steam pipe requires more attention to the angle control, otherwise it is easy to fail to produce a good milk foam structure.

Steam volume

The larger the steam volume, the faster the milk will be frothed, but it is relatively easy to produce coarse milk foam. The method with large steam volume is also more suitable for use in larger steel cups, which are prone to turbulence. The steam pipe with small steam volume has poor milk foaming effect, but the advantage is that it is not easy to produce coarse bubbles, the frothing time is longer, and the overall control is easier.

2. When starting to pour in the milk, we should raise the latte art pitcher and allow the milk to flow in a thin and slow manner. The purpose of doing this is to suppress the white foam and prevent it from flipping up, so that the milk and coffee can be fully blended.

3. When we pour the milk to the half height of the coffee cup, we should lower the height of the latte art cylinder and change the way of pouring milk. At this time, the milk flow rate is fast and rough. The purpose of this is to make the white milk foam turn up, which is convenient for us to make latte art.

4. When you see white milk foam floating up, shake the cup left and right, and white zigzag-shaped milk foam marks will begin to appear in the cup.

5. Gradually move the latte art cup backwards and reduce the amplitude of shaking. Finally, draw a thin straight line forward when closing the cup to draw the stems of the leaves in the cup to end.

This is my experience as a beginner in latte art. I wonder if it will be useful to you.
