Coffee beans: from growing to roasting, a fragrant black treasure

Coffee beans: from growing to roasting, a fragrant black treasure

Coffee beans are a precious agricultural product. From growing to roasting, they go through many steps to become the fragrant black treasure we enjoy every morning. The following will introduce the process of growing, picking and roasting coffee beans.

First of all, coffee beans are produced by the fruits that grow on the coffee tree. These fruits have a bright red or yellow skin when ripe and contain two seeds called "coffee beans". When these fruits reach full maturity, farmers will pick them. They usually choose to pick them by hand to ensure that only the best quality and most complete fruits are selected.

Next is the processing and roasting of the picked coffee beans. First, in the processing stage, farmers will remove the skin of the harvested fruits and expose the two seeds inside, namely coffee beans. Then, through fermentation and washing steps, the residual substances adhering to the surface of the seeds are removed and they are fully dried.

Finally, the coffee beans enter the roasting stage. Roasting is a very critical process that determines the taste and flavor of the coffee beans. During the roasting process, the coffee beans will be subjected to high temperature treatment and chemical reactions will occur. As time and temperature change, the moisture inside the coffee beans gradually evaporates, and a series of complex and interesting chemical changes occur. These changes ultimately give the coffee beans a special aroma and taste.

In summary, from growth to roasting, the process of a fragrant black treasure includes fruit ripening, picking, processing and roasting. Each link needs to be carefully operated to ensure the quality of the final product. Therefore, when tasting that cup of fragrant and delicious coffee, please remember that there is a lot of effort and wisdom behind it.
