Coffee bean shapes and characteristics: Learn about the origin and production of this magical drink

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. It originated in Ethiopia, Africa. According to legend, in the 9th century AD, a shepherd found that his sheep became unusually active after eating a kind of red fruit. So he tried to boil these fruits and drink them. Surprisingly, the shepherd also felt energetic and awake. From then on, coffee began to spread.

Coffee beans are the key raw material for making coffee. They usually grow on high-altitude mountains in tropical regions, and produce clusters of small fruits on the trees. When these fruits are ripe, the outer layer will show bright and diverse colors: red, yellow, and even purple. When we peel off the outer layer, we will find a hard and smooth core inside - the coffee bean.

There are many steps and processes involved in making delicious and aromatic coffee. First, the coffee cherries are processed after picking: the pulp and skin are removed, leaving only the coffee beans. Then, the beans are fermented, washed, and dried to remove impurities. Next, the dried beans are roasted. Roasting is a key step that affects the flavor and taste of the coffee. Different degrees of roasting will give the coffee different colors and aromas.

The final step is to grind the roasted coffee beans and brew them with boiling water into our favorite drink, coffee. During the brewing process, the water contacts and penetrates the ground coffee beans, releasing their rich and complex aroma and taste.

In summary, when making a delicious cup of coffee, multiple links are required from planting, picking, processing to final brewing. Each link has an important impact on the final product: factors from the planting area, altitude to processing methods and the type of variety used can affect the flavor of coffee. Therefore, every cup of coffee is unique.
