Fortunately, I went to the Shenzhen Coffee Expo last week and took everyone to learn about some coffee live. Today, I will review the grand occasion of the coffee exhibition that day and introduce some niche boutique coffees by the way~

With the continuous development of coffee, most working people, coffee lovers, and even some consumers who are new to coffee, in addition to choosing well-known fast-moving consumer goods products such as Luckin Coffee and Starbucks, have also begun to choose to buy and brew coffee themselves.

Coffee has also transformed from a consumer product to a new lifestyle for working people.

Peripheral products such as notebooks, coffee cups, and jewelry pendants are also popular among coffee lovers.

Spoons, brooches and small pottery are also popular items.

In my spare time, drawing some small cartoons while drinking coffee has become a part of my life.

When coffee becomes a part of life, brewing coffee by hand becomes a concrete manifestation of the ritual of life.

From selecting coffee beans to grinding coffee powder and then to the brewing process, the choice and operation of each link will determine the final flavor and temperature of this cup of coffee. This is also a unique experience that cannot be replicated by any commercial coffee shop.

1. Beetles, TIMEMORE

Beetles in Macau, their store is on the first floor of "Wenyimen" near the Ruins of St. Paul's. The beans are roasted in-house, with stable quality and unique flavor. At the same time, they go to Myanmar to help local farmers grow coffee beans. It is a store with a strong sense of social responsibility.

TIMEMORE has many original coffee utensils. Through their products, they lower the threshold for hand-brewed coffee and bring hand-brewed coffee into the lives of ordinary people.

2. SeeSaw, ROASTWORK

As a coffee dream factory, SeeSaw was a pioneer in bold experimentation in its early years, introducing new concepts such as "specialty coffee beans" and "single-origin hand brewing", which opened the door to a new world of coffee for many people.

These are their classics, like hand-brewed iced Americano, mini latte, and Aurora Gesha.

ROASTWORK is a specialty coffee roaster from Hong Kong and the 2018 Hong Kong Aeropress champion. It has a retail coffee shop BREWJOB, which supplies a variety of specialty coffees in the community every day.

They purchase specialty coffee beans directly from the place of origin, and their signature drinks are hand-brewed coffee and espresso made from beans roasted by themselves.

3.NOC, Urban

NOC is definitely one of the best coffee shops in Hong Kong. Its main theme is white, and its most famous dish is Cold Brew, which is iced latte.

Urban was founded in Chengdu in 2013 and is an independent boutique coffee shop that bakes its own coffee.

The most classic one is their Italian coffee, which has 3 kinds of beans (blended, soe, decaf) x 3 kinds of milk (fresh milk, oat milk, Japanese soy milk) = 9 experiences. Single-origin brewed coffee will also have 4-5 beans to choose from every week (including self-roasted and roasted brands from all over the world).

The store’s signature premium drip coffee series and cold brew series are available for those who are interested.

4.MQ, Jewel

Mingqian Coffee was founded in 2009 and has its own coffee farm, roasting factory, coffee academy, and coffee shops. They also have a store in Shenzhen, on the first floor of Hi-You Shopping Mall, Antoshan 7th Road, Futian District (near Qiaoxiang Metro Station). Interested friends can go to the store to have a cup of coffee.

5. NOOK, PHILOCOFFEA

NOOK and PHILOCOFFEA are also good stores that focus on coffee and they also have their own coffee beans.

The ritual of brewing coffee is first reflected in the choice of coffee bean producing area.

You can choose Colombian beans with a balanced flavor, or Brazilian beans with a full taste. If you like strong fruit acidity, you can also choose Honduras or Kenyan coffee beans. As the hometown of coffee, Ethiopian coffee beans have a thick chocolate-like taste, full of floral and fruity tones...

There is a classic line in the Japanese movie "The Song of the Quiet Cafe", "What a happy thing it is to drink coffee brewed for you by someone."

The two heroines in the film: Eriko and Misaki, although they have different circumstances, gradually develop a connection amidst the various blows and challenges in life, encouraging and supporting each other.
