Coffee bean varieties: from cultivation to roasting, let's explore the wonderful journey of coffee!

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world, with a long history and unique flavor. However, few people know what a wonderful journey coffee has gone through from cultivation to roasting. Let's explore this process together!

First, let's look at how coffee beans are grown. Coffee plants are native to Africa and are now widely grown around the world. They require suitable climate and soil conditions to grow well. Typically, coffee bean seeds are placed in nursery beds to germinate and then transplanted into the field to grow.

Next comes the harvesting phase, when the ripe coffee cherries are picked at the right time. This is usually done by hand, as only the cherries that are at the right maturity can ensure the best quality. After picking, the cherries are peeled open to remove the two coffee beans contained inside.

The last crucial step is roasting! Freshly picked coffee beans need to be roasted to bring out their flavor and aroma. During the roasting process, the coffee beans are heated to high temperatures, causing the water inside to evaporate and produce chemical reactions. This process will change the color, taste and flavor characteristics of the coffee beans.

In summary, from cultivation to roasting, coffee beans go through a delicate and complex process. Growers need to patiently wait for the plants to grow and harvest ripe fruits; pickers need to carefully select the best quality fruits; and roasters need to master the right temperature and time to release the best taste and flavor. It is these efforts that allow us to enjoy a cup of delicious coffee every day.
