The coffee powder scattered on the ground was swept up and continued to be packed. Nanjing police destroyed a fake coffee production den

Dragon Tiger Network News (Reporter Zhou Xiao, Reporter Tao Yuge) Have you ever thought that the Nestle coffee you bought online might be fake? Recently, Nanjing Xuanwu police destroyed a den that produced and sold fake Nestle coffee. This den was hidden in a restaurant with very poor sanitary conditions. During the process of filling coffee, the coffee powder that was scattered on the ground would be collected and continued to be filled.

One day in late October this year, Nanjing Xuanwu police received reports from many citizens that the Nestle coffee they bought from a certain online store was fake. After negotiating with the merchant to no avail, they chose to call the police. After identification by relevant departments and official confirmation from Nestle Coffee, the Nestle coffee sold by this online store was fake from the product to the packaging, and the Xuanwu police immediately opened a case for investigation.

After investigation, the police found that the operator of this online store was Li from Chongqing, who also runs a "Chongqing Restaurant" in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. The police immediately went to Wenzhou to conduct an investigation and found that the restaurant opened by Li was hiding something. "After closing every night, Li would work in the restaurant until the early morning. The next day, a man came on a tricycle to deliver coffee raw materials and transported the bottled coffee to a small bungalow for packaging." The police officer in charge of the case told reporters.

After several days of surveillance, the police confirmed that the fake coffee den was hidden in the restaurant run by Li, and there were 6 suspects involved in the counterfeiting. "They are not only a family-style gang, but also have a clear division of labor. They sell not only online but also in physical stores." Police officer Xu Yunchao introduced that the online store was mainly managed by Guo, while Li pretended to be a salesperson of Nestlé, using his mobile phone to show fake electronic certificates and qualifications to obtain the qualification to sell in supermarkets, and openly supplied these fake goods to supermarkets. Li's cousin Li Bo and uncle Yang An were responsible for packaging and shipping, and Guo's wife Yang and Li's wife Zhang were also involved.

On November 13, Xuanwu police closed the net and arrested five suspects, including Li, Li Bo, Yang An, Yang, and Zhang. A few days later, Guo surrendered himself. The police seized a large amount of unsold coffee at the scene, totaling 61,044 bags with a total value of 91,566 yuan, and 900,000 coffee packaging bags. The police found that the counterfeiting den hidden in the hotel was only more than 10 square meters, with two machines for packaging coffee. Li would also refill the coffee powder that was scattered during the filling process.

Li confessed that he and Guo were working in Wenzhou and they discussed starting a coffee "business" because they were not making enough money. They bought packaging materials and coffee powder from a factory in Nanjing, and then asked their family members to make fake coffee together, and then sold it to the public at the wholesale price of genuine products. According to the police, from March to November this year, Li and others made a total of more than 520,000 yuan in illegal profits.

At present, Li, Guo, Li Bo and Yang An have been approved for arrest by the procuratorate on suspicion of selling counterfeit registered trademark goods. Yang and Zhang have been taken criminal compulsory measures of bail pending trial by the police in accordance with the law.
