How do coffee beans grow?

Coffee beans are a very common beverage ingredient in our daily lives. They go through a complex and delicate growth process. The following will focus on the growth process of coffee beans to introduce how they grow from seeds to the coffee we love.

First, the life of a coffee bean begins with a tiny seed. These seeds are called "coffee cherries" because they appear red or yellow when ripe. When the cherry is fully ripe, farmers pick it and remove the pulp to get the two coffee beans inside.

Next, these freshly picked coffee beans need to be processed. The first step is the cleaning process, during which the outer pulp and other impurities are removed. The cleaned coffee beans are then placed in the sun to dry or dried using a machine.

Then comes the important step - roasting. In this stage, farmers will choose the appropriate roasting degree according to their different tastes and needs. Generally speaking, during the roasting process, coffee beans will experience different temperatures and times, so that the internal moisture evaporates, the color changes, and the unique aroma is released.

Finally, the roasted coffee beans need to be cooled and stored in a suitable environment. This process is very important because it helps the coffee beans stabilize and maintain their quality taste. Generally speaking, freshly roasted coffee beans need to be used as soon as possible within 24 hours or sealed to maintain their freshness.

In summary, coffee beans need to go through multiple steps from seeds to finished products, including picking, cleaning, drying, roasting and cooling. Each step is crucial and will affect the final taste of the coffee in the whole process. Therefore, when enjoying the fragrant coffee in a delicious cup, please remember that there are countless hard work and careful care behind it.
