What to do with coffee beans if you don’t have a coffee machine?

Coffee beans are an important raw material for making coffee, but if we don't have a coffee machine, we can still process them in other ways. Here are a few methods that don't require a coffee machine.

First, we can use a grinder or rolling pin to grind the coffee beans into powder. Doing so will allow the beans to release more aroma and flavor. Just put an appropriate amount of coffee beans in a clean container without grease residue, and then turn the grinder or rolling pin vigorously to crush and rub the beans until they become a fine and uniform powder.

Secondly, if there is no coffee machine, we can also try cold brewing to make cold brew coffee. This method requires some time and patience. First, add an appropriate amount of water to a large container and pour a certain ratio (usually 1:4) of coarsely ground coffee powder into it. Then gently stir the mixture and let it soak at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours to extract the best taste and flavor.

In addition, if there is no coffee machine, we can also try to brew coffee with boiling water. First, boil an appropriate amount of water in a pot. Then put a certain ratio (usually 1:15) of coarse ground coffee powder into the filter and place the filter above the cup or pot. Next, slowly pour in about half of the water to allow the beans to fully wet and expand. After waiting for 30 seconds, slowly pour in the remaining water and wait for a few minutes for the coffee to slowly seep out.

Finally, you can also use a French press to make rich and aromatic coffee without a coffee machine. First, add an appropriate amount of ground coffee powder to a clean French press without grease residue. Then gently tilt the pot and slowly pour an appropriate amount of water at a temperature of about 95°C (do not use boiling water) to the top, and immediately cover the piston plate to keep the temperature and soaking time stable. After waiting for 3 to 4 minutes, press the piston to make it closely contact with the bottom of the pot, and then slowly tilt the pot to pour the coffee into the cup.

In short, not having a coffee machine does not mean that you cannot enjoy delicious coffee. By using grinders, cold brew, hand pouring or French press, we can still make coffee with rich taste and flavor. As long as we have some patience and creativity, we can easily enjoy homemade coffee at home.
