The magic of coffee beans: from beans to fragrant coffee, revealing the secrets step by step!

Coffee beans are a magical plant seed. They go through a series of processing and roasting processes to become the fragrant coffee we love. Let us reveal the magical journey from beans to coffee.

First of all, to make delicious coffee, we need to choose high-quality coffee beans. These beans usually come from areas with suitable climate, fertile soil and high altitude. Common high-quality varieties are Arabica and Robusta.

Next comes the processing. Freshly picked, the coffee cherries are peeled to reveal the green or yellow kernels (called “green beans”) that contain two different types of bitter and sweet characteristics (also called germs). These green beans are then washed and dried.

Then comes the roasting process. After adding the green beans to the roaster, the temperature gradually increases. When the temperature reaches about 200℃, the green beans begin to make a "first crack" sound, releasing moisture and carbon dioxide. At this time, the color of the beans turns light brown and begins to emit the aroma of coffee.

As the temperature continues to rise, the beans gradually become darker. During the roasting process, the proteins, sugars and fats inside the coffee beans undergo a series of complex chemical reactions, forming a rich variety of flavor substances. At the same time, it also determines the acidity, bitterness and sweetness of the coffee.

The last step is grinding and brewing. The roasted coffee beans are crushed, and different coarseness can be selected according to personal taste. Then the coffee powder is brewed with an appropriate amount of water, and the beneficial substances contained in it are fully contacted and dissolved under high temperature.

After this series of steps, we can taste the delicious coffee! Of course, there are many skills and techniques to master in the whole production process to achieve the best results.

In short, from selecting high-quality beans to roasting, grinding and brewing, every link has an important impact on the final taste of coffee. Only carefully made coffee beans can release their magic and bring us a wonderful taste experience.
