Siphon coffee making process: teach you step by step how to brew delicious coffee with a siphon pot

Siphon coffee making process

Coffee is an essential drink for many people every day, and the siphon pot is a classic tool for making coffee. It uses the vacuum principle to perfectly combine water and coffee powder to brew a mellow and delicious coffee. The following will introduce how to use the siphon pot to make a cup of coffee with a rich taste.

Prepare the necessary materials

First, we need to prepare the following materials:

  • Siphon pot: Choose a siphon pot that suits your use. The common capacity is 2-4 cups.
  • Filter paper: used to filter coffee grounds.
  • Bean grinder: used to grind fresh coffee beans.
  • Electronic scale: for accurate weighing of water and coffee powder.
  • Kettle: used to heat water.
  • Fresh, high-quality coffee beans: Choose your favorite flavor and guarantee freshness.

Step 1: Grinding the beans

First, put the fresh coffee beans into the grinder. Choose the appropriate coarseness for grinding according to your taste preference. Generally speaking, the siphon pot is suitable for using medium-coarse coffee powder.

Step 2: Purify the siphon pot

Before brewing, you need to rinse the siphon pot and filter paper with clean water to remove any impurities and odors.

Step 3: Preheat water

Pour the water in the kettle into the lower part of the siphon pot and heat it on the fire. This will preheat the siphon pot in advance and keep it at a stable temperature.

Step 4: Weigh the coffee powder and water

Use an electronic scale to weigh the required coffee powder and water separately. Generally, about 750 ml of water is needed for every 50 grams of coffee.

Step 5: Assemble the siphon pot

a. Place the filter paper in the upper filter and press it gently against the wall of the pot with a clean finger.

b. Connect the upper filter and lower water storage chamber of the siphon pot and ensure a good seal.

Step 6: Add coffee powder

Pour the measured coffee grounds evenly into the upper filter of the siphon pot and shake gently to distribute it evenly.

Step 7: Start brewing

a. When the water is boiling in the lower water reservoir, turn down the heat and slowly pour into the upper filter of the siphon kettle. Be careful not to let the water overflow the edge.

b. Wait for about 30 seconds to allow the coffee to fully contact and expand with the hot water.

Step 8: Observe the brewing process

The entire brewing process can be clearly seen through the transparent siphon pot. When there is no water left in the lower water storage chamber, it means that the brewing is complete.

Step 9: Enjoy delicious coffee

Pour the brewed coffee into a cup and enjoy it as soon as possible. Freshly brewed coffee tastes better, so try to drink it as soon as it is brewed.

The above is the detailed process of making coffee using a siphon pot. The coffee made by the siphon pot not only has a rich taste, but also has a rich aroma. I hope you can try to make a cup of delicious coffee by yourself according to these steps!
