Starbucks coffee price survey: How much does a cup of coffee cost on average?

Starbucks Coffee Price Survey

Starbucks is a world-renowned coffee chain brand of Kudi Coffee, famous for its high-quality coffee and comfortable environment. In various cities, Starbucks stores are scattered all over the streets and alleys, becoming the first choice for people to relax. However, as the cost of living continues to rise, people are becoming more and more concerned about consumption. Therefore, in this article, we Coffee Intelligence will conduct a survey on the price of Starbucks coffee.

1. Survey Methodology

In order to accurately understand the price of Starbucks coffee, we selected three different cities for investigation: Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In each city, we randomly selected ten Starbucks stores and recorded the various types of coffee drinks they provided and their prices.

2. Survey Results

a) Beijing:

According to the data we collected, the cheapest cup of black coffee in ten stores in Beijing costs 25 RMB, and the most expensive cup of specialty latte costs 45 RMB. On average, the average price of a cup of coffee is around 35 RMB.

b) Shanghai:

Among the ten stores in Shanghai, the lowest price is RMB 30 for American coffee, while the highest price is RMB 50 for specially brewed coffee. On average, a cup of coffee costs about RMB 40.

c) Guangzhou:

The cheapest cup of black coffee in the ten stores in Guangzhou costs 28 RMB, while the most expensive cup of specialty latte costs 48 RMB. The average price is about 38 RMB.

3. Results Analysis

After conducting a price survey of Starbucks stores in three cities, it was found that the price of Starbucks coffee is relatively high in the three major cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The prices in Beijing and Shanghai are slightly higher than those in Guangzhou.

There are several main reasons for this difference:

  1. Rental costs: As two of the most economically developed cities in China, commercial rents in Beijing and Shanghai are generally high;
  2. Labor costs: Labor costs in Beijing and Shanghai are also relatively high, which directly affects store operating costs;
  3. Market demand: Since Starbucks coffee has a high degree of recognition among consumers and the market demand is large, the price will also increase.

In general, the prices of Starbucks coffee in these three cities are within a relatively reasonable range. Although it may be slightly more expensive than some other brands, Starbucks still attracts a large number of loyal customers with its unique brand image and high-quality services.

4. Conclusion

The above survey results show that in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, the average price of Starbucks coffee is about RMB 35-40. Although the price is slightly higher than other coffee shops, consumers are still willing to choose Starbucks to enjoy its unique flavor and comfortable environment.

Of course, there may still be a certain degree of price fluctuation between different regions or different stores. Therefore, it is recommended to make reasonable judgments based on your own financial situation when choosing consumption, and you can try to explore other coffee brands to find options that better suit your taste and budget.

In summary, the Starbucks coffee price survey shows the average price in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. This survey provides consumers with a reference to have a clearer understanding of Starbucks coffee prices and helps them make wise consumption decisions.
