As a barista, I deeply feel the interweaving of challenges and enthusiasm. From learning the basics of coffee to mastering various production techniques, this process is full of difficulties and frustrations, but it also makes me full of passion and motivation.

Before becoming a qualified barista, I first need to have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of coffee. This includes coffee beans from different origins, different types of processing methods, various production tools, etc. Through learning and practice, I gradually understand the impact of each link on the final taste.

During the exploration, I found that each origin has its own unique flavor characteristics. Colombia produces a mellow and smooth taste; Kenya is known for its bright acidity; Brazil provides a rich and balanced taste experience. By tasting coffees from different origins and processed in different ways, I gradually developed a sensitivity to the flavor of coffee.

Combination of skills and art

Learning coffee making techniques is an integral part of becoming a good barista. From grinding beans to extraction, every step needs to be mastered with precision. This is not an easy task and requires a lot of practice and constant adjustment.

During my studies, I discovered that making a perfect cup of coffee is an art. By adjusting parameters such as grind size, water temperature and time, the same beans can produce completely different tastes. This creativity and flexibility fascinated me and inspired my creativity.


Pressure and fast pace

As a professional barista, working under high pressure is commonplace. Especially during peak hours, you have to deal with many orders and customer demands every minute. This fast pace is stressful but also challenging.

However, working under high pressure has also trained my adaptability and teamwork awareness. Working closely with colleagues, supporting and helping each other, we are able to cope with various emergencies and ensure the quality of every cup of coffee.

No matter I face challenges or work pressure, behind it is my love and dedication to coffee. This passion makes me willing to spend more time learning, practicing and improving myself.

When I see customers enjoying the delicious coffee I made, I feel satisfied. This feeling of being recognized and bringing happiness to others makes me proud and passionate about the profession of barista.
