Coffee Latte Art Making Guide

Coffee latte art is a technique of pouring milk into coffee and forming various beautiful patterns by controlling the tilt angle and speed. Here we will introduce how to make amazing coffee latte art.

Preparation

First, we need to prepare the following materials and tools:

  • Fresh milk
  • High-quality espresso
  • A steam machine with a nozzle
  • A cup or glass container suitable for tilting
  • A small spoon or stick for painting patterns
  • A clean work surface or tablecloth

    Tips:

    - Milk should be refrigerated before use, as the refrigeration process causes the fat in the milk to separate and become more dense.

    Step 1: Steam milk

    - Pour appropriate amount of fresh milk into a steam machine with a spray head.

    - Turn on the steam machine, place the spray head in the milk and turn on the steam switch.

    - Tilt the cup or glass at a 45-degree angle so that the milk forms a swirl on the inclined surface.

    - Maintain proper angle and speed to allow the milk to be fully mixed with air and produce tiny bubbles.

    Step 2: Latte art techniques

    - When the milk reaches the desired temperature (usually 60-70 degrees Celsius), turn off the steam machine and remove the spray head from the milk.

    - Pour coffee into a cup or glass container, filling it about 1/3 to 1/2 full.

    - Using your hand with the drawing tool (small spoon or stick), gently shake the cup vertically to create a basic pattern. Try simple patterns like hearts, leaves, etc.

    Step 3: Advanced Techniques

If you have mastered the basic techniques, you can try the following advanced operations: - To draw the flowers: Place the drawing tool in the center of the cup, start with a dot, and gently pull outwards to create a petal-like pattern.

    - To draw a spiral: Place the drawing tool on the edge of the cup, start from a point, make circular motions inside the cup, and gradually expand outwards.

    - Combine patterns: Try combining different basic patterns to create more complex latte art effects.

    Step 4: Enjoy your coffee

The last step is to taste your carefully crafted latte art. Savor the aroma and taste and admire the work of art you created. Remember to take a photo and share it with your friends!

    Summarize

By mastering the above techniques and steps, I believe you can already make amazing coffee latte art. But please note that you may encounter failures or difficulties during practice, so please be patient and keep practicing. I wish everyone can become an excellent barista!
