Brewing coffee using the paper filter method

Make a cup of hand-brewed coffee and slow down time

The history of coffee drinking is a history of the continuous development of new brewing methods. Coffee drinkers throughout the ages have been full of enterprising spirit, and new inventions in the coffee world are emerging in an endless stream.

The book not only introduces various methods and steps of brewing coffee in detail, but also enriches your knowledge from the history, purchase, use and other aspects of the equipment.

Brewing coffee can be divided into two camps according to its utensils: immersion and percolation. The following introduces a type of percolation brewing method - filter paper brewing.

In this fast-paced life, occasionally, slow down.

Experience the feeling of hand brewed coffee.

It's the little happiness in life.

Yield: 3 cups

Brewing ratio: 1:15 (66g:1L)

Grinding particle size: Filter powder

1. Put the filter paper into the filter cup and then place them together on the electronic scale.

2. Use plenty of hot water to moisten the filter paper, otherwise the coffee will have a papery taste.

3. Grind 32 grams of coffee and put it into the filter paper.

4. Return the electronic scale to zero and pour 5050 ml of hot water into the coffee powder at a uniform speed.

5. Steam for 30 seconds, then stir quickly.

6. Use a spiral technique (to ensure that the coffee powder is evenly moistened) to slowly and evenly pour 430 ml of hot water into the coffee powder. When the filter paper is 3/4 full, maintain the same water injection speed to keep the water at the same height until the water in the hand brewing pot is used up.

7. Wait for all the coffee to drip down, which will take about 2 to 3 minutes.

8. Remove the filter cup and let it cool for 4 to 5 minutes before drinking.
