Since I signed up for the coffee course, my life seems to have opened a new window. Outside the window are colorful coffee beans and rich coffee aroma. Before, my understanding of coffee was limited to it being a refreshing drink. Through this course, I realized that coffee has such a profound cultural heritage and rich production techniques.

At the beginning of the course, I was deeply attracted by the history of coffee. From ancient Arabian legends to the social drinks of European aristocrats, to the modern drinks that are popular all over the world today, every step of the development of coffee has been accompanied by the development of human civilization. In the process of understanding these background knowledge, I gradually realized that coffee is not only a drink, but also a culture and a lifestyle.

During the learning process, I ground the coffee beans myself, learned different brewing techniques, and experienced every step from coffee beans to a perfect cup of coffee. Every grind and every brew requires meticulous operation and patience. I gradually discovered that the process of making coffee is like a spiritual journey that needs to be felt and experienced with the heart.

What impressed me most in the course was the exploration of coffee origins. From mountains to plains, from tropical rainforests to deserts, different growing environments create different coffee beans with different characteristics. Each type of coffee bean has its own unique flavor and taste, just like every place has its own unique cultural atmosphere. I began to wonder if each type of coffee bean also contains its own story and soul?

In the course, I also learned how to taste coffee. From aroma to taste, from acidity to sweetness, every taste is a new experience. I began to learn to feel the difference of each coffee, and also began to learn to understand the story behind each cup of coffee. In this process, I found that my soul has also been sublimated and purified. Every cup of coffee seems to be telling a different story and emotion, and I seem to have become a listener and experiencer of these stories.

I also gained a lot from the communication session in the course. Other students from different backgrounds shared their different understandings and experiences of coffee. These sharings made me realize that the world of coffee is so vast and diverse. Every communication gave me a deeper understanding and knowledge of coffee, and also gave me a clearer positioning of my learning outcomes.

In addition to learning production techniques and tasting methods, the course also took us to visit local coffee planting bases and processing plants, where I witnessed the entire process of coffee beans from growth to processing, and deeply appreciated the coffee farmers’ hard work and love for coffee. This made me cherish every hard-earned cup of coffee even more, and respect those who work hard for our lives even more.

The course has ended, but my exploration of coffee has never stopped. I believe that in the days to come, I will continue to explore this wonderful world of coffee in depth and look for more fragrant experiences of my own. In this process, I will use the knowledge and experience learned in the course to continue to taste each new coffee bean and feel the different shocks and inspirations they bring.

This coffee journey made me realize that coffee is not just a drink, but also a life attitude and cultural heritage. Every cup of coffee has its own unique charm and story, waiting for us to discover and experience. I am willing to immerse myself in this wonderful coffee world and feel and savor every beautiful moment with my heart.
