If roughly classified, there are dozens of types of coffee beans, but among these dozens of types, the coffee cultivated for ceremonial purposes and circulated in the market can be roughly divided into Arabica, Robusta and Liberica.

Most of the coffee beans we buy are Arabica. Arabica coffee beans are native to Ethiopia. They are divided into Typica and Bourbon subspecies during their spread through the Arabian Peninsula. Later, they were divided into multiple varieties through natural variation and different mating methods. Arabica varieties are less resistant to pests and diseases and are not cold-resistant. The higher the altitude of the coffee plantation, the better the variety.

The origin of Robusta coffee is the Congo Basin in Africa. It grows very fast and has strong resistance to diseases and pests. Its main production areas are Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Compared with the Arabica variety, this variety does not have such a strong aroma and basically does not have the sour taste of coffee. It tastes very bitter and is the raw material for instant coffee or low-priced coffee.
