Is long-term coffee drinking good or bad?

There are different opinions on whether drinking coffee for a long time is good or bad. Most of our friends probably think that drinking coffee for a long time will have bad effects on the body. The biggest impact is because coffee contains caffeine, and caffeine may cause neurological problems. It is precisely because of the caffeine problem that more people dare not touch coffee, such as pregnant women, sick patients, people who have just recovered from a serious illness, middle-aged and elderly people, etc.

In people's eyes, coffee is more like a tool for improvement. When you want to sleep, feel tired, or feel timid and can't muster up energy, a cup of coffee may be ideal. But in fact, coffee is not as bad as people think. Many studies have found that drinking a moderate amount of coffee every day is actually very helpful to health.

Let's first look at the caffeine in coffee, an ingredient that everyone hates. In fact, there are many foods that contain caffeine, but coffee is rejected by many people. For example, the highly recommended green tea has a caffeine content of about 3.5%, while coffee beans such as "Acraba" and "Robusta" only have caffeine content of about 1~2%. We can be recommended to drink 5 cups of green tea every day, but is one cup of coffee not acceptable?

Another example is that milk tea also contains caffeine, but young people are willing to drink a large cup of milk tea, even 750ml, at a time, but are unwilling to accept a cup of coffee? Chocolate, cakes, and cola all contain caffeine, but their status in our minds seems to be much lower than that of caffeine in coffee. In long-term research on coffee, scientists have found that long-term and appropriate drinking of coffee can control many chronic diseases in life, such as diabetes, stroke, Parkinson's disease, breast cancer and other diseases.

Several studies have found that if you drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day (a cup of about 100 ml), the benefits of black coffee will definitely outweigh the disadvantages . It should be noted that the coffee mentioned here refers to "black coffee" . Many times, the coffee we drink is instant coffee, or coffee with various additives added, such as milk cap, large amounts of milk, sucrose and other ingredients. Although these coffees are delicious, they also have a high sugar content and increased calories.

Instant coffee not only contains high levels of sugar, but also some creamers, which are non-dairy creamers that contain trans fatty acids. Excessive intake may increase the level of low-density lipoprotein, which leads to more accumulation of lipoprotein in the blood vessel wall and induces atherosclerosis. Moreover, compared to saying that caffeine is addictive, these sweet ingredients are the real culprits that make people "linger".

Of course, drinking a moderate amount of coffee every day is indeed beneficial for preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, especially type 2 diabetes . However, there is no advantage to consuming too much coffee. For example, people who drink 4 cups or more of coffee a day may experience calcium loss and cause osteoporosis, or become dependent on coffee . If they do not drink coffee one day, they will feel extremely uncomfortable. In addition, children and pregnant women are best not to drink coffee.

Pay attention to the daily moderate intake of coffee. In addition, the taste of black coffee is indeed unacceptable. We can try to add some milk or sucrose when drinking coffee, but it is not recommended to add coffee companion or drink instant coffee. Drinking too much of some Internet celebrity coffee drinks may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
