It means "milk" in Italian, so when you order a latte in Italy, you will only be served a cup of milk, not coffee. In China, some coffee shops also have flavored lattes, such as matcha latte and purple sweet potato latte. Remember, they do not contain coffee.

Latte (200ml per cup): 1 shot of espresso 30 ml + milk

Cappuccino (180ml per cup): 1 shot of espresso 30ml + thicker milk foam

Flat White

It is still unclear whether it was invented in Australia or New Zealand. It was initially translated into "xiaobai", "pingbai" and "aobai" in China. After being introduced into China by Starbucks, it was translated into "flat white". Compared with ordinary latte, its milk foam is thinner, more delicate and smoother, and the coffee flavor is stronger.

When you drink cappuccino, you will feel a layer of milk foam more than 1cm thick, with a relatively soft taste. Although Flat White also has some foam, it is more delicate, with a foam body of less than 5mm. The milk and espresso are highly integrated, and the taste is relatively smooth.

Flat white (200ml per cup): The base is 60g of two espressos. Some places will extract the espresso for a longer time.

The following is the recipe we used when we used the VST 20g colander

– Water temperature | 93-94℃

– Pressure | 9 ba

– Freshly ground coffee | 19-20 g (use a digital scale)

– Total weight of coffee | 36-40 grams (using a digital scale)

If you are using a 22g filter bowl, please use 22g of freshly ground coffee powder, the total weight of coffee should be 44g, the ratio is 1:2. .

【Tulip Coffee Latte Art Steps】

1.Mix milk and coffee;

2. Find the middle point of the cup, get close to the cup and increase the flow rate to the maximum, and stop pouring when white balls appear on the surface of the coffee;

3. The second injection point should be further back, and a large flow rate should be injected. When white balls appear, the injection can be stopped;

4. Repeat step 3 several times to make tulips

5. After the last ball appears, the flow rate immediately becomes smaller and goes out in a straight line.

Tulips are not particularly difficult and are also suitable for practice. Practice several times to understand the formation and changes of the patterns and master the tricks. When practicing, pay attention to the amplitude of the swing. Don't be too fast, and don't worry about too few embossings. You can also just push forward twice.

1. Fill a glass half full with ice and add 10 grams of maple syrup.

2. Pour the fresh milk into the cup until it is 70% full, then stir evenly to make the syrup melt into the fresh milk to increase the proportion of fresh milk.
