Drip coffee, experience the quality of hand brewing

A cup of drip coffee, experience the quality of hand-brewed coffee~

Instant coffee is too low-end, buying a coffee machine is too expensive, and hand-brewed coffee every day is too wasteful. When you can’t make a decision, you might as well try an intermediate state: drip coffee.

In the past two years, drip coffee has become popular. Office white-collar workers like it, and coffee practitioners also think it is a must-have when traveling. What magic does it have to quickly seize the market that originally belonged to instant coffee and gain everyone's recognition? I believe that after reading this article, you will also start to love drip coffee!

What is drip coffee?

Legend has it that in the mysterious coffee world, there are three types of coffee that are very popular:

One is the instant coffee that everyone is familiar with as a necessary tool for work: the raw material coffee beans generally selected for instant coffee are the lowest grade of bulk purchases, and it is basically impossible to drink good beans.

In addition, in order to maintain the taste of coffee, manufacturers will add flavorings and caffeine to instant coffee to create the illusion that "you are drinking a cup of real coffee." But the advantage is that it is convenient and economical, and there are many varieties on the market.

The other is hand brewed coffee : the highest level of coffee brewing, which can maximize the deliciousness of coffee. It is said that there is a chain of contempt between people who drink hand brewed coffee and those who drink instant coffee...

However, a cup of hand-brewed coffee requires not only freshly roasted coffee beans, a bean grinder, a sharing pot, filter paper... but also a barista's good skills in grinding beans, controlling water, observing, smelling, asking and feeling. This is absolutely extremely difficult for novices, okay!

Thus, drip coffee was born! The drip coffee bag contains freshly ground coffee powder, which is hung on the cup for dozens of seconds to simmer and steam, simulating the process of hand-brewed coffee. Finally, the filter paper bag filled with coffee grounds is picked up and thrown in.

It is specially designed for those who want to drink hand-brewed coffee of the same quality as in a coffee shop but only have time for instant coffee. Isn’t it thoughtful?

Roughly speaking, there is a relationship between instant coffee, drip coffee, and hand brewed coffee:

Comparison of convenience: instant> drip coffee>>>> hand brewed coffee

Comparison of quality: hand brewed coffee> drip coffee>>>> instant coffee

The drip coffee bag was first developed in Japan and is a patented design. The filter bag is used to store coffee and has small cardboard on both sides, like two small ears, so it is called drip coffee.

The drip bag retains the aroma and original regional flavor of the coffee very well, and completes the coffee brewing by drip filtering. As long as there is a hot water source and a 200ml cup, you can easily brew a cup of coffee. It is especially suitable for various places where it is inconvenient to use coffee utensils.

The general drip coffee bag contains 8-12g of powder, and each brewing process requires about 150-180ml of hot water. The flavor of the drip coffee bag can be selected according to personal preference, and different roasting degrees can be selected to show the different characteristics of the coffee. During the entire production process, all the coffee beans are fresh, and the flavor is quite good when it is delivered to you.

The correct way to brew drip coffee

1. Open the outer packaging bag of coffee along the cut and take out the drip filter paper bag.

2. Tear open the filter paper bag in the direction of the arrow on the bag.

3. Pull open the ears on both sides of the filter paper and hang it on the mouth of the cup.

4. First inject a small amount of boiling water, and then continue to inject boiling water in batches according to personal preference, about 150 ml. If you like strong coffee, you can add a little less, if you like it lighter, you can add a little more.

5

Remove and discard the filtered ear hooks, and then add companions as desired.

Tearing, hanging, punching and taking are all essential.

Remember these four steps and you can enjoy your drip coffee.

Tips

1. Hot water at 80-95℃ is the most ideal for brewing flavor.

2. Use a graduated measuring cup to more accurately control the ratio of light to dark.

3. The steady water flow from the narrow-mouthed pot can reduce odors and provide the best taste.
