China's coffee bean origin selection

As the domestic demand for coffee continues to grow, China's coffee industry is also developing rapidly. Today, there are many high-quality coffee bean producing areas in China, some of which are famous for their unique climatic conditions and soil characteristics. This article will introduce several domestic coffee bean producing areas and evaluate their quality.

Yunnan

Yunnan is one of the most important coffee producing regions in China. Located in the southwest of my country, the province has the high altitude, humid and warm climate conditions suitable for growing coffee trees. Most of the area is located above 1,000 meters above sea level and receives abundant rainfall from the monsoon airflow from Southeast Asia.

Due to these unique conditions, Yunnan produces many high-quality and rich-tasting Arabica and Robusta varieties, including Pu'er, Simao and Xishuangbanna.

Taiwan

Taiwan is another important coffee bean producing area in China. Located in the subtropical region, the island has a warm and humid climate and rich soil. Coffee trees grown here are usually above 800 meters above sea level, benefiting from high mountain cloud cover and abundant rainfall.

Hainan

Hainan is one of the largest and most important tropical islands in China, and one of the main regions producing Robusta coffee beans in China. It has a typical tropical monsoon climate, with warm, humid and abundant rainfall.

Due to the long-term suitable planting conditions, Hainan has produced many high-quality Robusta varieties and enjoys a high reputation in the domestic market. Although it may be a little rough in taste compared with other regions, it is still loved by consumers.

Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau

The Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is located in southwestern China, spanning the provinces of Yunnan and Guizhou. The region is rich in natural resources, including climate and soil conditions suitable for growing coffee trees.

In the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, coffee beans are mainly grown in mountainous areas above 1,000 meters above sea level. Due to lower temperatures and more diverse soil types, many Arabica varieties with unique taste and rich flavor are produced here.
