DIY coffee machine: Handcraft the perfect cup of coffee

Coffee is a must-have drink for many people every morning. A cup of fragrant coffee can bring us unlimited enjoyment and energy. The key to making a perfect cup of coffee is to choose high-quality coffee beans and use the right method to grind and brew them. In this article, I will share how to use a homemade coffee machine to manually make a perfect cup of coffee.

1. Choose high-quality coffee beans

A good start is one of the most important and basic steps to successfully make a cup of delicious coffee. So first of all, we need to buy fresh and high-quality coffee with good taste and in line with personal taste requirements and high freshness.

There are various origins, flavors, processing methods and other characteristics on the market, which will affect the different results you get in the end.

2. Grind the beans to suit your choice

Grind the coffee beans into the brewing method that suits you according to your personal taste and the recommended ratios of different types or brands you purchased.

The coarseness of the coffee beans has a great impact on different brewing methods. For example, if you choose to brew coffee with a French press, you need to grind the coffee beans into coarser particles; if you choose to make coffee with a drip coffee maker, you need to grind the coffee beans more finely.

3. Make your own simple coffee machine

Here I will teach you how to make a simple but practical manual coffee machine using some common materials and tools. First we need to prepare the following materials:

  • A glass pot
  • A filter
  • Some olive oil paper or filter paper
  • A thermometer (optional)
  • A hand mixer (optional)

(Note: Please make sure all materials are clean and odor-free)

4. Make coffee

First, clean the glass pot and place a filter at the bottom. Then, place olive oil paper or filter paper on the filter.

Next, add the appropriate amount of water and ground coffee beans to the pot, depending on the brewing method you choose. If you have a thermometer, use it to make sure the water is the right temperature (usually 90-96 degrees Celsius).

Then, use a hand blender to gently blend the coffee bean and water mixture. This will help release more aroma and flavor.

5. Brew the perfect taste

Wait for a while (usually 2-4 minutes) to allow the coffee to fully soak and release its aroma. Then, gently press the filter to fit tightly against the bottom of the glass pot, and tilt the pot to pour the coffee into the cup.

(Note: Please operate with caution to avoid burns)

6. Enjoy a perfect cup of handcrafted coffee

Now, you have successfully made a perfect cup of handmade coffee! You can add appropriate amount of sugar or milk to adjust the taste according to your personal taste. Then, slowly taste this cup of fragrant coffee and enjoy the wonderful moment it brings you.

By making your own coffee machine, we can better control every step and detail to get a cup of perfect tasting coffee. Whether it is getting up in the morning or taking a break in the afternoon, let us use the coffee we make ourselves to add a bit of fun and flavor to life.
